  • It won't, that's huge. That would be two episode 3's together and even more. But I believe it will be around 900 - 800 MB by the end.

I wonder if Telltale will use their ever-growing reputation to one day make a brand new IP of their own? That'd be interesting to see.

  • How long would 900-800 mb be? more than 90 minutes?

  • Episode 2 was around 600 ish MB

    Episode 3 was 777MB

So I think it could be a 100 - 120 minute episode maybe. Just maybe.

  • How many Gigabytes was episode 3 before it came out? That way we can judge how much was taken off and compare it to episode 4.

Why shouldnt they work on more franchises to draw in more money? Are people forgetting this is a business? More power to them, I say.

  • I never said that it would destroy their walking dead game, it just feels like they are choosing their franchises based on the popularity of them. Yes, this will bring in more money because they have a built in fan base.

But how about they work on something that isn't as recognised and take a risk or create their own game? No, because its all about the money now.
Telltale have became a bigger name, most things they do now, will be all about the money.
And when this happens, the passion is lost from it, you don't have that burning fire, they become weaker.
I admire them for what they can do and how connected they make you feel within a game, but I am worried they will slip and it will just become about making more money and not making games that will live on forever.

Even before Walking Dead, Telltale has always had ambitions to aim for larger franchises. To some of Telltale's older fans of their comedy p

Walking Dead is easily bigger than Fables, and I'd imagine it's bigger than Borderlands as well (I could be off, but I don't know). I honestly don't think that they are looking at the scope of the franchise alone.

Most if not all of Telltale's past games have been passion projects as a large part of what makes Telltale unique is their strong attention to how the source material is portrayed in their games. If that didn't change for a large title like Walking Dead, I don't see why that would a concern now. Just because Telltale is working on multiple projects, it doesn't mean that they can't all be passion projects. Several forum posts and tweets from staff members of Telltale seem to indicate that Telltale is strongly enthused about the source material for Borderlands and Game of Thrones. Likewise, Kevin Bruner alluded to Borderlands and Game of Thrones being "dream IP" on his Reddit AMA back in October for instance.

To close out my post, I'll bring up a great point DomeWing333 made about the Borderlands game in particular a while back; you don't make something as out of left field as a point and click Borderlands adventure game if you aren't already excited about the source material.

    please

  • Just because you want to make money doesnt mean you dont care about what you do. Obviously, they have enough passion to want to take on new projects. Give them some credit. How do you know these werent projects theyve been wanting to do for awhile and now have the opportunity?

I think 204 is already being playtested. It'll hopefully be into the classification board by next week.

2GB might not be the final file size as they upload a slightly different version for platform testing, they then upload the final version which will most likely be around the same size as the other episodes. The 0.05% is the percentage of how many people unlocked the trophy, the number is very low as Telltale are the only people testing the game.

  • downvotes, downvotes everywhere

That there is a huge example of childish ungratefulness

  • I dont think they have announced that yet.

Holy fudgenuts. Who's the script writer for EP4?

  • Size tells us nothing about the length of the episode. For example all speech and animations for EP3 are about 60MB in size. The rest is music and textures.

So IF there was be a hub (like those in S1) in EP4, we wouldn't be able to see it in the file-size ;)
