I never said that it would destroy their walking dead game, it just feels like they are choosing their franchises based on the popularity of them. Yes, this will bring in more money because they have a built in fan base.
But how about they work on something that isn't as recognised and take a risk or create their own game? No, because its all about the money now.
Telltale have became a bigger name, most things they do now, will be all about the money.
And when this happens, the passion is lost from it, you don't have that burning fire, they become weaker.
I admire them for what they can do and how connected they make you feel within a game, but I am worried they will slip and it will just become about making more money and not making games that will live on forever.
Even before Walking Dead, Telltale has always had ambitions to aim for larger franchises. To some of Telltale's older fans of their comedy p… moreuzzle games, Telltale's choice to make a Walking Dead game was viewed as "just jumping on the band wagon with all the massive franchises that will draw in more money for them" in the same way that you guys think Telltale is now "abandoning" Walking Dead to work on new games.
Walking Dead is definitely in the middle of a great run for Telltale. I hardly see how them working on additional projects down the line would result in Walking Dead being hurt. Telltale uses different teams for each series they make, I believe.
Walking Dead is easily bigger than Fables, and I'd imagine it's bigger than Borderlands as well (I could be off, but I don't know). I honestly don't think that they are looking at the scope of the franchise alone.
Most if not all of Telltale's past games have been passion projects as a large part of what makes Telltale unique is their strong attention to how the source material is portrayed in their games. If that didn't change for a large title like Walking Dead, I don't see why that would a concern now. Just because Telltale is working on multiple projects, it doesn't mean that they can't all be passion projects. Several forum posts and tweets from staff members of Telltale seem to indicate that Telltale is strongly enthused about the source material for Borderlands and Game of Thrones. Likewise, Kevin Bruner alluded to Borderlands and Game of Thrones being "dream IP" on his Reddit AMA back in October for instance.
To close out my post, I'll bring up a great point DomeWing333 made about the Borderlands game in particular a while back; you don't make something as out of left field as a point and click Borderlands adventure game if you aren't already excited about the source material.

Just because you want to make money doesnt mean you dont care about what you do. Obviously, they have enough passion to want to take on new projects. Give them some credit. How do you know these werent projects theyve been wanting to do for awhile and now have the opportunity?
A.) Recording is done in studios near the VAs, rather than one central studio for TTG. Otherwise, the VAs would have all met each other at some point or another.
Lee comes back in episode 4, that's why its taking forever. They have to fly Dave Fennoy in for some lines. Lee is the one character with im… moremunity and knows how to save everyone. It turned out at the end of season 1, clem imagined the death scene or abandoning scene because she ate some funny mushrooms
2GB might not be the final file size as they upload a slightly different version for platform testing, they then upload the final version which will most likely be around the same size as the other episodes. The 0.05% is the percentage of how many people unlocked the trophy, the number is very low as Telltale are the only people testing the game.

Size tells us nothing about the length of the episode. For example all speech and animations for EP3 are about 60MB in size. The rest is music and textures.
So IF there was be a hub (like those in S1) in EP4, we wouldn't be able to see it in the file-size

I hope the file stays at 1.98. We need a longer episode this time.
It won't, that's huge. That would be two episode 3's together and even more. But I believe it will be around 900 - 800 MB by the end.
That would be awesome!
How long would 900-800 mb be? more than 90 minutes?
Episode 2 was around 600 ish MB
Episode 3 was 777MB
So I think it could be a 100 - 120 minute episode maybe. Just maybe.
So what was season 1's?
How many Gigabytes was episode 3 before it came out? That way we can judge how much was taken off and compare it to episode 4.
When people work on things JUST for the money, they lose the passion and fire with in a game.

I believe when s2e3 first came on steam database it was 1.8GB

733.3 was its final product.
ok so we can tell that episode 4 is already about 200mb bigger than 3 was in some way...

B.) Yes. That's exactly what happened.
I think 204 is already being playtested. It'll hopefully be into the classification board by next week.
Thank you...
Ignore them. They're stupid.
Please tag your spoilers. Some people want to be surprised by the episode. (Including me)
The forums is the worst place to go if you want to be surprised.
Plus, the EP5 achievements is already being discussed by many.
Calm down.
"I want to Clem."
Yeah. "Overzealous. Is that the word?"
I'll just edit the comment..
We're getting closer now.
So not on july 8...
I guess it does make sense because "Cry Wolf" is releasing soon. At least "Amid The Ruins" just needs to finish Steam updates and classification.
WTF?? It's 2 GB now... http://steamdb.info/app/261030/depots/
Guys IT'S HAPPENING....kinda...still some news...YEY

Holy fudgenuts.

I hope it at least shrinks down to no less than 800 mb.
downvotes, downvotes everywhere
I dont think they have announced that yet.
