This ^ but also Suiting the minority over the majority of gamers is bad business plus it's a negative for the core game but still the same price. TWAU episode 4 was only just about over an hour so if you accept this I fear the consequences do you really think they shortened the episodes for anyone :O
Obviously 6 hours is a different story, but that isn't really what we're talking about here. We simply want them to add that extra hour back… more into their episodes.
No one had an issue with the episodes being too long in season one. And honestly, even if some individuals somehow can't manage to sit down for two hours once every two months to play a videogame, they really don't need to finish the episode in one sitting.
I wouldn't say for sure that we are the majority on this, man. Of the overall gaming community who prefers a more hands-on experience, yes, but for the particular niche that TTG fills... I am not entirely sure.

In my oppinion, i ended all the 3 episodes of the walking dead season 2 than the frist episode of season 1. Ok, i LIKE the story, but is sooo freaking short. I can get that you need to work on every actionn and voice, but you are working with3-4 others thing! At least 2 things at time no? And there wasn't much determinant choice than Saving Nick and Alvin...that wasn't that determinant. I excuse for my bad writing but this keyboard is horrible
I don't have a problem with them making episodes longer if they choose to do that. My point is not looking at this from the perspective of someone who wants a different experience, which I don't think the "hardcore gamers" do. It's like " if I can spend several hours playing this game, you should too", and some people simply don't want to for whatever reason. I don't see what's wrong with catering to more than one audience. Obviously youre not going to please everyone but they're trying to please as many as they can.

I thought the Wolf Among Us felt a lot shorter than the Walking Dead season 1 and 2. Someone had said they're the same length, but I guess the original poster proved my feeling correct.
I really think they should stop making new games. I mean is it really necessary for them to make a Borderlands game. I'm not saying that it won't be good. I'm saying they should focus on the Wolf Among Us and the Walking Dead season 2. They should wait until they have finished the Walking Dead and then release more games. Maybe even wait until they have finished both series completely (not just the seasons, I mean both series).
a lot of the characters have had moments like these.
Not nearly enough, I don't think.
It's not really all exposition on their pa… morest. Sure, we got plenty nostalgic exposition from some of the S1 crew (like Katjaa) but later on, we merely spoke. Spoke about the situation at hand, about what we had gone through. I don't know, I like those things; it brings out the more human angle, and it was not necessary for the cast to repeat their live stories all over again. The story and their person, their character provided new conversation topics, not their pre-apocalyptic past.
Can only a small, absolutely necessary amount of dialogue and actions tell us enough about these people? Yes, but as "cinematic" as the industry and Telltale want to get nowadays, they sometimes miss what I think is the great advantage that this particular medium possesses: Interactivity. Player agency. The showing and telling of who this characters are in a differ… [view original content]
We wait 2 months at least for the next episode (mostly) and all you give is 90 minutes. Well I don't like that. Within those 90 we might not enjoy the game as anticipated (TWD E.3 had its cons. We didn't get to interact with the 400 days characters well etc. Not to mention you sort of ruined the awesome game TWAU as well).
NOT everything can be completed within that short time at all. We've all seen it.
I paid money for my game and therefore want it perfect. Thanks.
It's not like they have to focus on Wolf anymore, but I'm looking forward to GOT and I don't want to wait until the end of season 2 or 3 if there is one to know about it

Ehh... I don't know. Perhaps the intention is real. Perhaps the experience of those who cannot play a "long" episode is impoverished by havi… moreng to stop it halfway through. Perhaps we are the very vocal minority, and the target audience is people who like their experience streamlined and concise, without the "problems" that with length and gameplay that @Markd4547 listed below. I personally think think no special consideration is needed.
I actually had to stop Long Road Ahead in the middle, the first time I played it because something unexpected happened. Days later, I got the time to finish it and my experience was none the worse for it. It varies from person to person, but if you can make room in your weekend to watch Titanic, you can make some room for a slice of your gaming hobby. Were two and a half hours on average too much? If they were, you could always come back later. I am of the mind that consideration for these people should not … [view original content]
I can not agree with this thread anymore. Its incredible when you think about it. All this company does is make simple point and click games yet they can't make episodes any longer than an hour and 15 minutes ? ? ? Absolutely bizarre.
Anyways, take it from someone who has been on the forums since Episode 2 first season- Telltale doesn't care, They don't listen to their fans nor care about them. They know most of us already paid for the product. Hence forth, there is no need to make their customers happy.
The season finale will not surpass an hour and a half.
I don't mind the length. I would like better hub areas which I think are lacking (which of course would directly affect length) but the actual time I spend playing doesn't matter if it's all on point.
Eh it doesn't bother me. I've always been a follower of the idea that quality trumps quantity. I'm not saying longer would make it worse, just that as long as it's still top notch I don't mind it being shorter. 90 minutes, 2 hours, as long as the story is there and I get pulled in then I will just enjoy it.
Even if it doesn't I'm willing to bet it will be a fantastic episode in story, characters, and emotional appeal. Telltale has proven time and time again that what they do is tell good stories. So take it with a grain of salt, pull up the big-boy-pants and enjoy the tale.

Even if what doesn't ? Im not saying they don't tell good stories, I am saying that if they are going to make us wait 10-12 weeks we should get more than 90 min of content.

You are so right!!! Telltale has stretched themselves too thin with all of these projects.
They should have stopped to think whether or not they could have handled the work load on these projects. You made your name with TWD and now they are neglecting the fans of that series because they want to start a bunch of other projects. How about concentrating on releasing a decent episode on time before you decide that you need to add 2 or 3 new projects to the mix. Why would I even think about getting involved with a new game that you release when I cannot even get the content that I have already paid for? Why would I put myself through that frustration?
I'm pretty sure I'm just echoing what everyone already said, but it's so stupid to "fix" something that wasn't even broken in the first place. I've literally never heard anyone complain that the episodes are too long, in fact people thought a couple of eps in S1 were short, which is a JOKE considering the episode lengths we are getting right now.
Why? Why should we get more content? Is that a serious question? I don't care if this is the best video game ever created, if I am paying money (albeit a lot cheaper than most games) to get content and it takes TWO FRICKIN' MONTHS for NINETY MINUTES (90...or less) there is something wrong there.
You think telltale are going to listen to you?
Shorter episodes = shorter budgets. Shorter budgets = More profits for telltale.
Want to stop it? Vote with your wallet. But why bother saying that, you'll buy the episodes anyway.
I totally understand. The game is extremely excellent and fun, but telltale ruined half of our joy. Look at episode 1, it was simply fantastic, then I don't know what telltale did, but I know it fucked up and made us wait four months for a SHORTER episode as well as a LESS THRILLING one. Then episode 3 and 4 came and they were good (3 is better ofc), but they telltale didn't perform it perfectly if you ask me, because we hardly even saw Colin lol.
Those 90 minutes are killing their games, as well as disappointing us. We enjoyed the first episode a lot, then we got disappointed as fuck. That's just so fucking annoying. Yes I'm very annoyed.
It's like a free area where you get to roam around as the character and interact with the other characters and objects. It's usually where we get the most background information on characters since we get to ask questions not exactly relevant to any tasks at hand. Think of the Motor Inn in season one, for example.
Ah but see why do you need more content? If they are going to give you 30 more minutes then why don't they give you another 25 after that? And another 15 after that? Because it's superfluous and unnecessary. They can tell the story they are trying to tell in the time span they give you. If they couldn't accomplish this goal then they would add more time. Seeing as this has not happened it is obviously not required. Something is not wrong unless you take into account your "give me more" attitude. As you said, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than other games, and as we saw with season one they don't disappoint.

Well when I played it, it took me a little longer to finish it. Around 70-80 minutes.
But even so, how the hell does that make it a bad thing?

I disagree. For 2 months of waiting I should get more than 90 minutes of gameplay, even if its very enjoyable.

TWAU is almost gonna end, this means more time for TWD and longer Episodes.

MANY. Many people complained, I included them. Still great episodes, but not properly done.
Is that what got your attention? lol.
