A delay has not occured yet. And can factually not occur for another 20 hours, actually.
It's just that with the last two or three episodes, Telltale has set a precedent for 'soft releases' i.e. midnight PST releases from the Telltale Store... and, not surprisingly, what has been a brilliant fan service just two months ago now is perceived as an indispensable standard by some Telltale newbies.
Maybe that little finger shouldn't have been given.
I have to agree with this, Telltale usually don't release episode midnight in the past for the 3-5 months they have been releasing it at midnight which was awesome. Since, many of us have been following Telltale for awhile we know midnight is never guaranteed (usually after 9am the day of).
It was kinda tough in this current situation where we were informed they were probably gonna have a fix within two hours which caused an issue when it past the two hour mark.
The drama kind of spiraled out of control when I had 1200 people waiting for the fix and when the estimated time past people started raging. I guess that is for me to learn from my mistake for future events.
