Kenny was way out of line
Anyone else mad at Kenny for telling Clem that Sarita's death was all her fault whether she chopped off Sarita's arm of not. I'm mean Clem feels enough guilt as it is from all the people who have died around her and Kenny knows that yet he still yelled at her for trying to help and saying she always gets people killed. Don't get me wrong I can say some mean stuff when I'm furious but I always apologize for it later yet Kenny did not.
Update: Kenny apologizes to Clem in No Going Back so I forgive him

Well I didn't expect him to be like: "Oh its ok Clementine I forgive you for chopping off my girlfriend's hand." I mean, I know there was no stopping it, but did you REALLY think he would be hunky dory after that and be so forgiving that quick? He has lost A LOT of close people during the apocalypse. Also, someone died. It wasn't like someone stole his hat or anything. I was still a little pissed off at Kenny though.
If Lee was there, I'd make him beat the shit out of Kenny. You don't yell at Clementine like that, regardless if your girlfriend just died.
I...expected it, so I was kind of just letting him use Clem as a punching bag a bit.
I do think there's a bit of a rift between the two of them now.
I sort of wanted Clementine to go full-on Ben rant mode.
I think he was just in rage mode.I think he wouldnt say that now.
Kenny has just lost the third loved one in his life, you can't expect him to smile and pat Clem's hat.
He knows that it wasn't Clems fault, Kenny just had to let off some steam because he feels guilty of not having been able to protect Sarita.
To be honest, for all that he went through he seems more sane than others would be.
Anyone else would have given up at this point, Kenny always moves on. He's barely who he was anymore, but keeps going.
"Shit... sometimes I forget you're still a kid. Sorry Clementine, for burdening you with this." - Kenny. Not exact words, but it's closely along the lines of it.
I was friendly and calm to him in my playthrough, I was afraid that he would attack Clem or something, if he did I would have had to kill him. Trust me, he's a lot more calm if you don't chop her arm off. You basically killed Sarita by chopping off her arm off. Over 80% either didn't think logical about the situation and that it would get Sarita killed, or they just wanted Kenny to suffer or something.
No one expected him to be happy about it. But Clementine is 12 years old, and yet she acts more rationally and more adult than anyone else, especially more than Kenny, who has been unstable since the beginning of the series and overreacts to everything.
idk but i wanted to punch in them head when he was saying it
11*
Yeah, he acted like an asshole. But back in the tent, I convinced him that he always helped me and I need him, so Kenny thanked me and I think that he might apologize later.
Same old Kenny, he hasn't changed that much. but I still love that guy.
Kenny was in rage mode, of course he'd blame everyone and everything in sight after his girlfriend's death. He later becomes better again and stops blaming/screaming when you come back to check up on him so yeah, I say let's forget about Kenny's outburst and not make a big deal out of it.
Kenny has been out of line since season 1. Anybody who had a jerk kenny in season 1 knows this is how he REALLY is. Nice kenny never existed.....for me anyways. And I'm glad TT is showing EVERYONE how much of one he is now.
Yea the bad times with Kenny are shit... but the good and badass times with him make up for it.
Thank you. Personally, myself, if Clementine accidentally killed someone I loved, and I was in Kenny's place, I wouldn't have told Clementine it was her fault, or any kid for that matter.
Kenny thought that someone he trusted, and probably viewed as a daughter, caused the brutal, agonizing death of the person who he loves more than anything in the world. It is soooooooooo fucking easy for you people to judge, but I don't blame Kenny in the slightest. The guy was devastated, for fuck sake. At that point, he had NO ONE left to keep him going. He just kept losing and losing, and everything that went right always ended up dying. Of course he'd be pissed off. I would, too. And I'm willing to bet that so would many of you guys. And those of you complaining he "shouted" at Clementine? Grow up, because Clem has gone through WAY worse.
Sounds like typical Kenny. Blame everyone else. It just confirms everything I know about him. People think he has this special relationship with Clem but I never believed it, just because of the way he has always acted toward her.
You think because you're a little girl you can just get people killed and no one will care?
That's kinda true if you think about it, if it weren't for Clem running away Lee would still be alive.
She dies if you dont. What other choice did Clem have?
This is classic Kenny, so it wasn't surprising. But yeah, it's like come the hell on. Like Clementine can say, she's been through hell too, lost people too, already has a massive amount of guilt on her shoulders about causing deaths, and she was trying to help Sarita, who was going to be dead anyway, plus she's friggin' eleven. She shoulders all this and doesn't lash out at people on constant basis, why should Kenny get a pass?
Not to mention, that scene (if you chopped her hand and axe her) was very reminiscent of the meat locker, and I'm not saying that he deserved it, but karma came back to bite Kenny there big time.
Exactly. He got Herschel's son killed. He killed Lilly's dad. He tried to kill Ben because Ben tried to help his friend. He almost got everyone killed at Crawford because he couldn't wait to have that confrontation. He refuses to help look Lee look for Clementine if you don't agree with him about everything. He's completely unhinged, unstable, and unreliable. If he's going to blame Clementine for trying to save Sarita's life, when it was Sarita's stupid reaction that got her killed, she's got no reason to have any loyalty toward him.
Its so easy for people to rationalize, too. Kenny should face up to his actions, not be excused for everything he does.
What he did wasn't exactly nice, yes, but I was just annoyed that people didn't seem to have any empathy for the guy who lost the best thing in his life. Clementine should face up to her actions, too, and Kenny calling her out on her dumb choice was reasonable punishment. She probably won't take such an insane risk again.
I wonder if it's meant to be a plot device to draw a parallel to season 1. Kenny really took it out on the main protagonist in that season as well.
It was horrible for Clem, but I thought that it was great. Clementine is basically the only person left for Kenny to care about, but he thinks that Clementine doesn't need him. Kenny is only stable if he has the feeling that his life has a purpose and that other people rely on him. The moment Sarita died, he thought he would be left alone again. That's why my Clem told him she needed him, and Kenny became a lot nicer after that.
Kenny bitches at her no matter what choice she makes. It was Sarita's fault, not Clementine's. Kenny needs to grow up and finally understand the world that he lives in. He always reacts like that when something doesn't go his way.
He does bitch at Clem, and I can totally understand why. I know this from personal experience - when people are depressed or angry, they often push away the people they're closest to. I suspect he wanted to feel worthless, hated and alone. That would mean giving up wouldn't cause anyone sadness or pain. Trust me, I know.
Oh please. I'm one of clem's biggest fan but even I can understand Kenny's point of view. You guys surely underestimate what Clem can handle. She doesn't need her bodyguard to fight her battles for her and beat anyone who dares to talk her some truth. She's not a baby like Sarah. She stands her ground when Kenny yell at her. In season 1, she would have cried. Shows how Clem had gone a long way since her season 1 persona.
Yeah that was a little over the top. Thankfully he calmed down after a while though. At least you can rely on Kenny to have your back when the going gets tough, unlike some of the other snakes in the group (the chick that just straight up left the group at the end of the ep, who people probably love on here)
Really? When did he try to kill Ben? I don't know but I think maybe he lashed out at Ben because Ben played a hand in the death of Kenny's family, maybe that's why he reacted the way he did. And the last I checked, he wasn't the one that removed the axe from the door that let the Walkers in.
Well he did take a beating half to death by a madman just so he wouldn't inflict harm on Clementine.
Oh you mean Molly 2.0? because basically this already happened. Molly/Jane tells Lee/Clem that she is leaving they say their goodbyes and Jane/Molly walks down the stairs. -sigh-
It was harsh and when he lashed out I was thinking OH SHIT GOVERNOR 2.0, but then as it progressed it was just because of a loved ones death so nothing too much, But I will say LUKE was way out of line when there was a herd coming and he was off fucking Jane when he was supposed to be lookout, bad timing....
Am I the only one who understood kenny once he got mad at Clem? I mean if you were in Kenny's shoes.
NEVER FORGET
The important thing is that he didn't stay mad. He got over it and stepped up to help Rebecca. Yes, he said some shitty things to Clem right after it happened. It's Kenny. He says fucked up things when fucked up things happen to him. I expected that. But after a while, he calmed down and helped the group. That's what matters. So this episode ended up being another plus for Kenny in my eyes.
I literally cry because of him being like this to Clem. Kenny just being Kenny. I'm being well-prepared for him to get mad at me before ep4 coming out, but that was a little too harsh tho.....
She actually does in the tent through certain dialogue choices
Kenny really only get's mad at Clem if Clem chops off the arm, if you kill the zombie, Kenny is still highly upset, but less at Clem so Kenny may be out of line, depending on how YOU play that scene.
I've got a double feeling. The only reason why i dont get furious and want him to die is because he is there since the very beginning.
But he is not as he used to be. I dont really trust him anymore. But because i know him for so long i still choose him above Luke.
But everytime he now comes with those hate towards clem.. he gets annoying
