Hello, I have a question for you. What do you think about like using music from official trailer? For example from The Walking Dead TV Show? I'm curious because I personally like to watch some trailers and if music is fantastic I may use it in one of my trailers in the future.
I'm using the soundtrack of Telltale's TWD in my next trailer, extracted directly from the game; but, using music from the TV series to promote the game seems a tad blasphemous. I don't have a single care for the TV show, but I do have a huge respect for the video game.
Trailer music is fine to listen to, but I wouldn't like to have my audience imagining another video while watching mine. For example, I wouldn't want people to be thinking of Destiny because I ended up using the music from a Destiny trailer in my own fan-made TWD one. as it would distract the viewer's attention away from the aesthetic and mood to the trailer.

Okay, I was just curious because I (for example) don't have problems with using any music if I think it'll fits to the trailer that I imagine in my head. Last time I used music from Mass Effect in Starcraft trailer and in my opinion it fits perfectly but I guess someone else would think diffrently.

If Clem stays behind in the Cabin instead of looking for Kenny in Ep.2, then attempts to help Alvin, she'll be hit in the gut while running towards Carver, then held up.
Yep. I can recall when there were only a small handful of good fan-made trailers, but now ever since I got involved, I've been getting more and more impressed and intimidated by more "professional" editors. On one hand, it's great to see the awesome trailers, but on another hand, I can't help but feel a little discouraged at the skill level I have to compete with.
Well, with most people doing 1 or 2 minute long trailers, I'd like to make at most 5 minute trailers because all the cool E3 and TGS trailers are usually longer than 3 minutes.
Thanks. I had an alternative audio track which had Lee from the end of S1E5, but it was far too cliche to use, and the advice he gave was mostly just him telling Clem how she shouldn't ever get used to shooting guns. So I opted for a more difficult approach, something I kinda enjoy doing. Using dialogue in a way that changes the context of the line spoken. Thus, the now infamous monologue that never was, was born.
I said it in the YouTube comments when your latest video was released and I'll say it again.
That's one of the most emotional fan-made Walking Dead creations I've ever seen, and you should feel proud. :P
I kinda always wanted some silly argument to happen in one of my comments section. I've heard of Lexi Porter before, but now that she actually left a comment in my video, I felt strangely good about it when it happened.
I find it amazing how you managed to create a conversation out of all those separate little pieces of dialogue, while also making use of certain music and 'tactical' editing to induce certain emotions. By the the end I felt terrible! xD But in a good way.
Proud I am. Proud right in the foot. Proudfoot.

Dude that was fucking amazing!!!!! Them feels are dtrong with this one!!:,)..... Awesome job. One question... Are all those the same or are different trailers?? Or the same just edited over time??
Well, I suppose if Lexi leaves a comment on your video you know it's gotten pretty big because she's noticed it and deemed it a worthy place to spread #Cluke propaganda, lol.

Plus, when she commented on it, I think it showed up on her Google Plus account, thus opening it up to a particular audience. So, in reality, she was one of the reasons why it got so many views.

Whenever I finished a video, I post it here as sort of an archive or portfolio. Instead of making new threads, simply editing this one would make it much easier to keep traffic on the previous works. So those are all different videos, made throughout a period of 2 or 3 months.

If I don't bump the thread after editing the top post, it wouldn't otherwise go onto the front page. So, whenever I add something new and update the top post, I gotta bump the thread somehow.

Maybe. I've been out of the trailer game for a while. Been busy with my job, and shifted my hobby over to extracting and piecing together music from raw files and such.

That was really good! Slightly on the longer side but I love the focus on Shel and Becca! And that ending!

Just bumping for great justice. Don't mind me. :P

I see. Try harder next time. Btw. did you saw my latest trailer which I uploaded a few days ago?
Maybe. I've been out of the trailer game for a while. Been busy with my job, and shifted my hobby over to extracting and piecing together music from raw files and such.
I see. Well, I haven't much time too lately but I manage to put something together. If you want I can put a link here.
