Take Or Refuse The Nail File

Which did you choose and why?
Personally I chose to take it because It could really help the group and It would help Clem remember Jane and its a great help she is lending the group (Lets say the Russians win the shootout and tie up the remaining survivors, they may miss the file when searching Clem and she could maybe use it to help her escape and safe the others) plus Jane seems pretty good at taking care of herself so she will be fine

Take it, I thought it was a really nice gesture and a good tool.
I don't really see why people would refuse it, unless they think Jane needs to hang on to it for some reason..
I took the nail file, because hey free nail file.
To be honest, other than the fact of the player hating Jane, i really don't see the point in not taking the nail file?
She uses it to pick the lock, and she continues to talk about how useful it is (There was a certain line about it you could quote but i forgot it) Like? Why not take it?
"Versatility is not over-rated"
That's it! Thanks ^^
It's technically an adventure game, so I took the object.
No problem
Take
mfw people are looking into logical reasons for taking it
It was purely a sentimental gesture. That was Jane's own way of saying, "Take care of yourself."
I wouldn't say purely.
The tool is added to clem's inventory at the side of the screen if you take it, which implies it will have some kind of use.
Of course I took it. Free stuff is the best stuff.
I accepted it. Not only will it help remember Jane, but it could also come in handy.
Versatility really isn't overrated.
I don't know why anyone would hate Jane. She's a strong independent female and at least personally I like that type of female characters more than helpless damsels in distress.
I accepted the nail file for two reasons. She gave it as a token of friendship and nail files are always handy.
I personally don't like Jane because of how much she was trying to force her lone survivalist ideas to me. I also think she handled the Arvo situation horribly. Seems she can't deal with the living as good as she deals with the dead.
I took the nail file because it would help Clementine and the group get out of situations. Like Jane said you could strike a flint and make a fire, sharpen weapons and even pick locks. Besides, Jane offered it as a parting gift and she doesn't really need it.
Took it. It's really ati-climatic if you don't take it. Jane's like ''Okay'' and leaves. -__-
I didn't see any reason not to take it.. It could be useful in the future and I don't think Jane really needs it, she probably has another one.
I didn't take it... Usually, racional or choices that you think you're doing good awlays comeback and prove that you did wrong...
I was thinking we either use it to tear the bindings if we are captured, or to shank one of the Russians if they come too close.
Pragmatism beats sentimentalism when it comes to objects. I took it regardless of my feelings for Jane.
She was only saying that stuff, because she really believed that her advice could help Clem. I didn't agree with most of the stuff she said, but nevertheless I enjoyed her discussions with Clem.
And yes, she did a lot of things which she wasn't proud of, but at least she knew when she did wrong and felt guilty because of it (she felt guilty even if you didn't take the drugs). Occasional bad judgement isn't anything unusual in Clem's group. Kenny, Lilly, Ben, Bonnie and Nick all have made much bigger mistakes than Jane.
By taking it, Jane's corpse will be found later as she needed the nail file and Clem will have no use for it whatsoever
I liked Jane until she had sex with Luke...I started scolding them both lol...
And people judge those characters because of their mistakes. We judge people based on the actions they choose to make. Plenty of people dislike Kenny, Lily still has a huge hate following, some still make fun of Ben, I know people who still distrust Bonnie, and I've seen people who don't like Nick. Jane's mistake was viciously threatening a handicapped boy who obviously had friends. I blame Jane for Arvo returning with his group, and for whoever dies in the ensuing shootout.
My point was that compared to many other group members Jane is actually pretty decent person. She didn't really harm Arvo in any way and protected the group against an armed stranger (who was holding Clem at gunpoint) with minimum level of violence. And while she was tempted to rob Arvo she accepted Clem's better judgement that it's wrong and felt guilty about threatening Arvo (if you didn't take the drugs. If you took the drugs, then she was sorry that she robbed him).
Clem could use a manicure, along with some nail polish. It would really look good on her.
Oh geez I never thought of that..
In real life, such a thing is quite useful for all kinds of things.
Nail files killed my father. No way am I taking those tools of the devil.
I'm sure it will be a lot more useful than even the watch... but not the juicebox because that juicebox was hella useful.
She's afraid to get attached because she's been hurt so much before. She can't cope with more grief.
I took it because Jane will remember that.
I denied it thinking I'd look cool and all 'Clementine don't need your parting gifts', but then I instantly regretted it.
How will Clem keep her nails short now? Tragic.
it's a good tool and if you hold it from the middle it's a shank to remember jane said she jabbed her hand when she went in her sisters purse
When someone offers you something you might as well take it to avoid the awkward situation and be nice.
I took it because the second Jane said that it could strike a flint, I remembered Christa's words in S2E1 that Clem needed to learn how to make a fire and cook for herself.
Fire will come in handy in the snowy final episode. It's interesting that Episode 4 lacked any kind of fire - Episode 1 had Clem and Christa's campfire, Episode 2 had the fire in the lodge, and Episode 3 had the fire in the prison.
