Clementine is clearly multi-racial (if you need proof, look at what a pure sub-Saharan African looks like, most African Americans are very m… moreixed from living in the U.S. so long). That's why I've seen Asian, black, Hispanic, and white people pull of great Clem cosplays. She's a racial grab bag. Not that it even matters. Nobody can deny that the white girl in the pictures above looks like Clementine, regardless of her or Clem's race. I just knew someone was going to bring this up. Clem has very light skin and light eyes. So whites, Asians, Hispanics, and lighter skinned blacks can all pull off good/accurate cosplays of her.
She's deliberately ambiguous in her looks and light-skinned as a result of that. From a cynical stand-point, that's to make her more appealing to a wider range of audiences who might be a little alienated if she was truly dark-skinned. For a while I thought her mother was part Asian.
At the very least, I see her as a mixed-race girl. Her appearance in Season 2 is slightly darker, but she could still be passed off as a tanned white kid. And I'm fine with her ambiguous looks, because it's good to see people like me who don't easily fit one racial standard.
Michelle, the little shit who kills Omid, looks pretty black. She even seems to resemble what Clem could become in a few years.
Like I said African american and african not the same. Clem looks like alot of "black girls" whom are light skin for black does not mean dark as night, and you are pointing out racial stereotypes of a race. Maybe you don't hang or live in a black community but its funny how the only one whom points out she is not lee daughter is another black character christa

I've known plenty of "light" African-Americans. I'm pointing out that it's likely Clementine was made dark-skinned/racially ambiguous, whether subconsciously or otherwise, because American culture generally finds light skin more appealing and 'innocent'. In order to make Lee a sympathetic character, he's quickly put in charge of protecting a girl whose paleness helps to make her look more vulnerable.
It'd be interesting if Clementine's model was modified so that her skin-tone would be as dark as Christa's, Rebecca's or Michelle's.

Clementines ethnic features were likely softened for marketing reasons. The primary consumer target for this game (white suburban males 18-34) typically do not want to make emotional attachments to ethnic minorities. Having the player make an emotional attachment to clementine is imperative for her character to work. But with her protector Lee Everett being a black convict, casting clem as white would have caused a shitstorm that would have went far past the video game world. So I think TTG just choose a middle ground and wrote the character as black, but physically softened the features so players didnt reject her because of her race.

Who is that!? :O she looks so much like Clem
Kurusu posted this on The Walking Dead Fan art.
It's hard to believe she's not actually a little girl!
Because not all" black people" are dark as night but many shades of brown, light to dark
No she looks like majority of african americans,
This this is inaccurate and not whole haha also hispanic is not a ethnicity it means people from spanish speaking country, aka white, black etc

American main culture which is white wash and eurocentric. Unless the developers stated this am not sure why but it be that sadly
i understand that, But her parents look quite a bit darker then her.
Dad darker Mom lighter=lighter sometimes
I think this is what Clementine would look like if she magically popped out of our TV screen
Some of those are actually kinda creepy...

Found this one of Jane
Did Jane ever have that gun? Looks impeccable otherwise!
If she survived to the Season 3 or maybe Season 4 and grow up she will be very beautiful girl i ever met in game
I don't know if Season 3 will be the final season for the series, but it might be possible that each season will show a gradual progression.
Season 3: 13-14 year old Clem.
Season 4: 16-17 year old Clem.
Season 5: 20 year old Clem.
And so on. Depends how long Telltale wants to milk their cash-cow, and how far along Kirkman will extend his comic storyline.
TWD have lots of fans so i dont see reason why stop making S3 and S4 and S5 and S6,S7,S8,S9,S10, S100

Just because her skin is "darker" a few tones doesen't make her african american. But she does look phillipine... The eyes, the skin... Look it up.
Okay... Quickly cosplays as luke and go talk to her
This seems like a good character model for teenage Clem.
Your skin colour would usually be anywhere between your mother and father, so yeah.
Or genetic history which is random in truth

Here is another Clem cosplayer. She cosplays other Telltale characters too though and it's pretty rad
No developers said otherwise, just cause she is not a stereotype does not mean not black
Also blacks do have slanted eyes bushmen being a ethic that does in africa
She does look more bushmen than phillipine.

It's Arvo's gun.
And some more to add!
I think this is her tumblr. at the very least its where i found most of these pictures.

They're all really good, but I think her Bloody Mary is her best.
Since we're talking about something but the game:
Why would anyone dislike this,it's funny.Unless they like ign,I guess...
It's weird to see a doll version of Lee with more realistic human features...
