Your character had a lot of potential, what other reason could that option have for killing you other than character number? Maybe the wait option was the only chance for you to survive, or maybe you would have died in an even horrible way, but we'll have to wait and see the other options when Ch 4 is over to know for sure.

and don't use character number as an excuse for a REALLY bad chioce ( I AM CONVINCED THERE WAS NO WORST ENDING TO THAT)
