Wow, I'm glad to see that Nick wasn't forgotten in the end! I mean, fans are still grieving for him! Haven't seen this many people miss a character since Carley and Lee!

Honestly I would have even preferred he get shot in the head in the horde, did we really have to decapitate him, especially given how accurate clem is usually
I think I would've liked it a lot more if he attacked Clem and we had to kill him in a desperate state, similar to the walker in the shed. We knew he was gonna die, but I imagine that being a lot better and more emotionally conflicted...
I would of had Nick die in episode 2 at least his death would mean something instead of dragging him for an extra 2 episodes to were he has like 4 line in episode 3 and zero lines in episode 4... Lazy Telltale are Lazy!
What did his Death mean back in episode 2? It meant shit. His death in episode 4 did have far more meaning. He died looking for help; he died trying to save sarah and luke. If he died in episode 2, he died because he shot a guy by mistake. Decide for yourself what matters more.

He also died without any lines, plot significance, reactions from others, or screen time in episode 4. It's also not like him doing anything before he died was referenced later anyway.

Yep, some people kinda think that's bad. I did get a reaction to Nick's death, Rebecca broke out in tears and Luke kinda shut down. Don't know about your playthrough, in mine Nick's death had meaning. Him dying off-screen did not bother me at all. When Chuck died off-screen in Episode 4 Season 1, no one complained.

Chuck had lines, plot significance, and screen time in episode 4 and he wasn't completely shafted in episode 3 like Nick. Even then, when he died off-screen, it was because he stayed back to save the group so it didn't feel like a shitty and stupid rush-job like Nick's death. Also, Rebecca gave more of a fuck to Nick's death than his friend of 20 years. Doesn't that say something?

When Nick died off-screen, he did it because he tried to save Luke and Sarah, just like Chuck tried to save the group. Nick did not succeed, but that does not mean his death hold less weight.
Nick HAD plot significance in episode 1 and 2. Chuck HAD plot significance in episode 3, in episode 4, he was killed in a rush, even more so than Nick. Nick just managed to live a little bit longer.
The death ITSELF has also nothing to do with how luke reacted to that.
If you say "I did not like Luke's reaction", I partially agree with you. But the death itself was not meaningless and did not feel lazy to me.

I mentioned this in my topic, but I'll say it again. Maybe Luke knew Nick was not gonna make it anyway. Shot and bleeding with no doctor and in a shitty situation. Anyone could figure Nick had no chance after being shot, so Luke hearing what Jane told him about Nick's death was confirmation of what he already knew. Nick died trying to go for help and didn't make it far. It sucks Nick didn't have any lines in this episode, but Clem was not around him when he was helping Luke/Sarah and when he died so there was nothing we could hear him say. Telltale told it in a way that was reasonable and within the story's parameter. His death was not in vain though, Jane used it to make a point whether you want to accept her advice or not is up to you.

I was really hoping Nick would survive to season 3.
His death, not only was a bummer, but also seemed to be a real cheap move on telltale's part.
1st Carly.
Then Nick.
And now Sarah, within the same episode I might add.
Even if you do save them the 1st time around, they end up getting killed anyway.
Seems like determinate characters don't stand a chance.
Hopefully, if there is another determinate character, telltale let's them live, and doesn't kill them off a couple of episodes later.
It will get really old if they do!

R.I.P
Nick Randall
Early 1990's- 2014
He is finally reunited with Pete and his mother.
It's intentional, he put the image up and everything.
Oh My God! The Thread was renamed from what I suggested XDDD I can't tell if it was intentional or not though.
Well Hell Yeah! In his thread post, the picture doesn't show up...just the URL so I didn't see it at first. But thanks BenUseful!

PLOT TWIST!
The walker wasn't actually Nick, he just took his clothes and appeared to have very similar hair and facial features!
Nick will come back in EP5 and save the group from the Russians, Rambo-style!
What? Me? in denial? Nooooo....
praise lucifer
Say that one more time...
