If we play as teenage Clementine in season 3

as the title says, it would be the worst idea ever.

Whether you like it or not, Clementine's story is over, there is nothing else to be told about her. What do you expect to do as Teenage Clem in season 3? there is nothing else than a love story in the apocalypse. Just imagine playing as teenage Clem and then a boy shows up in the group, after that we get to make all these teenage love choices and decisions in the apocalypse. Bullshit.

What makes it even worse is that people will be completely fine with it here. I'm not even joking about this, like seriously did you notice lately the type of threads about Clementine?

  • Having Crush on Clementine.
  • All the "Cluke" threads.
  • Best Clementine Face.

I don't know about you, but in my opinion If this happen then TWD game is going to hell. We need to play as an adult protagonist in season3.

  • Clem's story is not over.

  • i would probably not play the game. romance is usually boring. plus it would be like that girl from the show. she would have a new boyfriend every other month because they keep dying.

I'm officially starting a new trend just for the hell of it...

    Clem shall be president.

  • also agree on the adult part. im so tired of all these games/Animes having 16-17 year old main characters.

  • "Her Story"? What the fuck? Did you read the comics with Rick Grimes? It's partially about her story, of course, but I would love to see more of the zombie apocalypse through the eyes of Clem. I'd love it.
    "Going to Hell"?
My god, dude, fuck off. Nothing here is going to hell.

  • I agree with this thread, even though you tricked me!

  • You hear that girls? Literally the only thing you can do as a teenager is have a crush on a boy.

  • ... There's a lot more games featuring adult protagonists you play as than you realize.

also agree on the adult part. im so tired of all these games/Animes having 16-17 year old main characters.

  • Guy: I love you Clem

Clem: just like my other ex-boyfriends

    Guy: huh what?

Clem: nothing interesting at all just all my boyfriends are dead before the end of the month.

  • No, whatever Telltale does will be well-done, they know how to execute ideas, there are no "good" or "wrong" ideas because they know what they're doing.

  • Plus, Romance is important for people. If you want to play a cool Zombie Game, play Left 4 Dead. This is a game about people, and Romance always gives Hope. If it is written well, it'd be awesome and it would make the game even better.

Romance is a great thing, and it opens room for so much fun stuff. (NOT SEX)

  • That's bullshit, dropping a game because things change, and stupid little things like that.

if it was mainly about romance i would. I play to have somewhat difficult decisions. I don't want spend my gaming time making a fictional character fall in love with a fictional teenager.

  • Ya i play a TWD game for romance, your absolutely right. They should add G/L/T/U Romance option, its not fair only straight people get to hook up in this game! Maybe instead of having it about zombies, we can make it Clementine's dating simulator in a zombie Apocalypse.

  • What's sad is a sexist who thinks the only thing a teenage girl can do is have a crush/romance. I've been around for 19 years, and know a lot of things about people. I know what I'm talking about.

  • What's wrong with Best Clementine Face?

  • Stop thinking that just because she would be a teenage girl she'd go out hunting for a man. I'm a teenage girl and in the apocalypse, I would be looking to survive, not looking for a bang buddy for the next few years. Telltale doesn't make romance a main plot. Ever. So this theory that it'd be a season about romance is (and I hate to pull this card out) extremely sexist and quite irritating.

  • Sure, Telltale knows how to handle ideas, there is no doubt about that. But keep in my mind that seasons will not be equally good. For example season 1 was A LOT better than season 2 (or at least the majority thinks so).

  • The Walking Dead Game Season 3: Rise of the Governess....

hardened by her experiences on the road, Clem becomes a cold, ruthless dictator; taking over the safe zone of Wellington by using her innocent looks to her advantage... killing those who stand in her way or threaten her control of the town... cut to scene of a mid-20's Clementine, quietly sitting on her couch, staring at the wall... camera pans the wall to show fishtanks with the severed heads of Kenny... Luke... Bonnie... Mike... Lilly... Christa... a knock on the door shakes her from her dazed state and a muffled voice is heard outside.... "Governess? Some new arrivals just came through the main gate... they're dying to meet you."

  • "Going to Hell"? My god, dude, fuck off. Nothing here is going to hell.

Dude did you read the part where I wrote "in my opinion"?

  • Dude, what the fuck are you talking about? I'm not talking about a Dating Simulator. I'm not talking about a Romance like "The Notebook". I'm just saying that it's natural for people to fall in love, and love gives hope.
I hate this ridiculous attitude "Love? Yuck!"
And you don't hook up. Not YOU. The Character does. It's a goddamn story.
And adding romance to a teen Clementine (14-15 years old) would give telltale so many options.
Played the Last of Us add-on Left Behind? The Romance was great. It worked so well and it gave the game far more depth.
People like you don't really know what makes a great story. Then again, most people in this forum are just bitching and whining the whole day, so I guess you fit in here really good.

  • And it would NOT. BE. THE. MAIN. FOCUS.
It'd be a nice sidestory and I'd get a lot more invested in the characters this way. I'd love to meet some characters Clementine IS ACTUALLY going to keep in their lives. Look at the comics. The Rick/Andrea romance worked SO GOOD. It was really great. It gave Rick hope.

Expendable companion #2: But Clem, he only wants to eat you.

  • The last of us is a over hyped average game at best. As a 28 year old man, i don't want to play a 14 year old Clementine kissing a boy for the first time, if that happened i probably would delete this game from my steam library and never play this game series again.

    This is ridiculous.

And The Last Of Us is not overhyped. It's a pretty good game gameplay-wise, and brillant at storytelling.

  • I'm NOT insulting anyone here. Please make sure to read it again correctly. What I wanted to say is that Clem's story is over, her family, Lee and almost everyone she knew died, we have had enough of her. But whenever I see people wanna still play as Clem in season3 I ask myself, What do you expect to do as a teenager? there is NOTHING left other than JUST surviving, and keep surviving will make season 3 boring and repetitive! So the most obvious thing that would happen to make season 3 different is having a love story!

What's wrong with Best Clementine Face?

  • Teenage girls do other things than get crushes.

Like going into bathrooms with other teenage girls.
I used to think this was so they could gossip, but now I know they rob other girls in there and shoot any man that dares to enter.

  • The last of us is overhyped, it isn't a bad game by any means, but the praise it gets is not deserved.

Oh please, do you think kids raised in the apocalypse will even care about stuff like romance?

Ain't nobody got time fo dat . Clem has always been a smart kid, she seems like the type who'd focus only on what's important.

As far as Clem knows there ain't no girl stuff ,boys or teen stuff anymore. She's a survivor and that's that.

  • There is a lot left to be told.
And yes, a love story would not be bad, not as the main focus, but humans are bound to fall in love eventually.
I'm not saying that I absolutely need a lovestory.
    Don't get me wrong.
But Clementine's story is not over.
If you read the Walking Dead comics, you'll know what I mean.
