The positives of ____'s death

So a lot of hate has been going around about Nick's unfair death (and I agree with the hate, I've argued the points quite a bit myself), but there was a positive that I've seen, and that's the little details that they put into his demise.

    Makes me wonder though why the walker didn't eat a bigger piece of Nick.

    A positive is: He kind of made himself useful in his own eyes... off-screen. Maybe he wanted to take out a couple of walkers to make the situation not so bad for Sarah and Luke?

    Thats actually really awesome that they put this sort of thing into the story. Its the little things like showing you the zombie that killed Nick. But poor Nick. :(

    What a beast... He just shrugged that shit off. BTW Luke is a terrible friend! Nick was already wounded and from his walker it looked like he had no weapons, why'd Luke send him to look for help. WTF

    Nick likely volunteered himself, Reggie mentioned that Nick takes dumb risks. plus it was unlikely that Luke could cheer Sarah up as he himself is depressed

    Even if Nick volunteered, Luke could have given him a weapon of some kind.
