Hooray, we can finally ditch the "No Info Yet" thread title! I've updated Jennifer's post with the tweets from Job/Kevin as well as a heads up about faulty release date guesses being passed off as facts.
EDIT: I'm not Telltale staff so take my prediction with a grain of salt, but I would expect that the "tiny peek" at Episode 5 will be revealed around 9 am PST (Telltale's time zone) as that is around the same timeframe that other, recent announcements have been made by Telltale (such as the Wolf Among Us Episode 5 trailer).
Puzzlebox confirmed that no screenshots of Episode 5 will be released to avoid spoilers.
Here's the thing about screenshots... it's REALLY tough to do them for this episode without spoiling stuff, especially considering how Episode 4 ended. We definitely want you guys going in fresh and DEFINITELY don't want someone who's avoiding spoilers to accidentally see one posted somewhere. So with that stuff in mind, we've decided not to release pre-launch screenshots for the season finale.
That said though, you can expect the usual key art. And the trailer of course!

To be fair, I don't think that is necessarily a guarantee that we get the key art/trailer just by virtue of the screenshots being omitted, but on the other hand, it does seem like progress is coming along well on this episode so I can't imagine it would be too terribly long of a wait anyways.
Of course though, I'm only a volunteer moderator who knows about as much as you do, so take that with a grain of salt as usual.
Eh, I'd honestly prefer Telltale just give us the trailer separately from Playing Dead. They premiered the Carver trailer for Episode 2 in a Playing Dead episode, and I didn't like having to skip around the intro and small talk just to get to the trailer.
To be fair, Telltale has notably removed some of the gameplay elements with the deliberate intent of making the game more accessible to a casual audience that only wants to play for the story, so I wouldn't say that it's all just a matter of unmet expectations. However, although I will admit Season 1's story was stronger in areas, I think people are too easily panicked by the fact that Jake Rodkin and Sean Vannaman aren't around to write for this season (as they left Telltale to form their own studio).
This didn't feel important enough for a stand alone thread, so I thought I would drop it here. Does anyone else feel like the dislike from … moredie-hard The Walking Dead fans is because of the whole "sequel curse" thing? You know, the first one was really good, so expectations are raised up. When the sequel comes out, it's good but didn't reach expectations. New fans love it, but old fans don't. I've seen it in some other franchises. I only got into The Walking Dead back in January and I have enjoyed both seasons, whereas people who were fans way back in season 1 don't see season 2 on the same level as season 1. I'm just wondering since season 3 is coming out and (depending on episode 5's reception) TellTale might be put in that whole "fan service vs. new direction" situation. Again, just wondering.
Will be out with my bf then so i'll look at it when I get back looks like another great day tomorrow even if it is key art then it really IS coming soon. Like soon soon soon.

...well look at that. An hour earlier than usual. As others have guessed, I'm also assuming key art.

What really excites me about this episode as that Telltale always goes all-out with their finales. It seems that most of their budget goes in the last ones too, as they tend to have a lot of flashy moments.
That might be a bit of an obvious statement, but it only just sunk in for me.

HOLY SHIT DBBNBEIEHDNCJRAGABKF MY BODY IS READY TELLTALE
They're going really fast for E5. I'm hoping they don't rush it and really nail E5.
Well the finale is always shorter than a regular episode, usually around one hour, plus with TWAU us out of the way its full speed ahead
My guess is around 1954-2098
no its too early for a trailer its either more info or screenshots or an interview or playing dead
Puzzlebox confirmed that there won't be any screen shots of the episode to avoid spoilers, though she said the trailer wouldn't show any spoilers.
where does it say no screenshots? Sorry if someone already posted it

The no Screenshots news is good, it means that we will be going straight to the key art and tralier.
OMG I didn't think about that!
Maybe we might get an August release after all, although I think we're getting an early September release.
Thanks! I can't wait!
im doubting a early september release
A trailer on Playing Dead on Saturday followed by a release on Tuesday the 19th?
One can dream.

I'm going to be optimistic and guess a late August release. That seems fairly safe and grounded (with a small pinch of optimism) to me.

We still need the classification, dammit.
Maybe a magical classification tomorrow, and key art tomorrow, and then trailer Friday or during Playing Dead, and then release on 19th?
I don't know, but I hope so.
In case you didnt see
