I have the same opinion on the ending. I'm sad even thinking about it being honest. :-( Clementine alone with the baby is my biggest fear for the game. It'll be too emotional for most people because we're so attached to her as a character.
Another possibility also. It could end with Clementine sitting at the playground, holding the baby, fades to black, (as you said) we sit through the credits with only our thoughts and the music. Then they'll give us a five second clip afterwards. We'll hear someone call her by name. Or "Hey you!" Clementine sharply turns and it ends.
This is probably going to be so creepy as I now get the feeling Wellington is abandoned and i can just imagine Clem sitting down on her own … morebaby in hands and bam black screen, this would defo make me tear up to say the least with her being in a place where its just snow and old buildings.
It's not like the episode is going to be 10 ours long.
How would they stuff a weeklong(?) roadtrip into 30 minutes of game without it feeling like a shortcut?
Now, if somebody could just read the sign in the picture I'd shut up.
Why are we trying to figureit out before the ep? Speculation is fun but this in depth could make more disappointment if it isn't as we expect or if we're right to the point it gets boring
Ya, what if Kenny goes nuts when he finds out Wellington is empty and steals the baby. It's the only thing he has left in this world and he would probably stop at nothing to protect it.
Doesn't it remend you of Season 1? Kenny tried so hard to get the group to find a boat in Savannah, only to fail.
In Season 2 Kenny is trying so hard to get the group to Wellington. Would be a shame if his dreams were crushed once again.

That's true, I'm just saying, even when you factor that in a time skip would probably be very mild. There's been dozens of them all season and they've barely been noticeable
With the state the roads are in. Herds roaming around. Bandit camps.
It might be a longer trip than you think. It certainly wouldn't be a straight drive with no crap happening along the way.

Nate drove for a long time, who knows? Maybe all or most of the bandits arent north anymore, since heat would be hard for all of them and theyd freeze to death. If they are up north most probably wont go out in the cold LOOKING to start stuff.

At the end of ep. 4 I kept thinking "1 blanket for a baby? Jesus it's freezing, it's FUCKING SNOWING for Christ's sake. If I were there I wo… moreuld've offered my jacket for the new born baby. No option at all to give another layer of warmth for him? No one even gonna mention it?"
What if this is where the last shred of Clementine loses her self and becomes this cold, hardened child like Carl in the comics. What if this is the scene where something so tragic happens it just completely shatters Clem.
We've come all the way here, lost all those people, for the promise of a place that was never there to begin with.
Nothing but ruins. Nothing but a false dream.
But now there's No Going Back.
I don't know if anybody mentioned it [I was lazy and didn't check, sue me :P] but it looks like there might be a building nearby on the left of the picture. Could the playground be connected to a school or little cafe in a park somewhere?
This picture shows it better. See, there's what appears to be a roof because of the icicles, and maybe a door. If it does mean there's cover, then we shouldn't look at it too bleakly because there would be somewhere to get some shelter from the cold and not freeze to death...doesn't mean something really depressing won't happen in that moment though :S but as long as there's a building maybe it's somewhere the survivors of the group can go.
I wouldn't doubt Kenny giving all of his clothes to the baby, then creating a tiny sun to make sure it's extra warm. Why don't they give the baby the confederate coat?
Thank you Yeah i talked about the building but the issue is this image shows the building very clearly but not the slide/monkey bars. I'll crop it and put it up. Thanks

Well remember the outbreak started in the early 2000's I remember being younger and going to unsafe playgrounds like this. Nowadays everythi… moreng is super safe (kinda ruins the fun im assuming). This playground could have been made as far as the 1990's and was never updated before the outbreak.
Perfect sneak peek... it doesn't give anything away with the gun fight and it looks so abandoned, cold and creepy. Your right tho... it would be heart wrenching if Clem ends up alone holding the baby at the end =(
Oh my god. What if they get to Wellington and it's just named "Wellington Playground" and that was it. It wasn't a safe-haven, one doesn't exist. It's just a playground but due to the "Chinese Whispers Effect" it somehow circulated that it was a safe zone of some sorts. Oh my god. No.

And then Clem (all by herself) realizes this and she blacks out because she is wounded and was hoping when she got there they would patch her up but since it's not real she's going to die......I would cry if that happens....Then burn down Telltale HQ.

Clementine could fall asleep in the car.

i wont be disapointed if i am wrong, but im 95% sure that the teaser is also the last achievment.
Okay, so that would be exactly like a timeskip...
yes but not a huge one, it wont be one were Clem wakes up and everything is different.
The drive to Wellington is about half a day... certainly not a week.
With the state the roads are in. Herds roaming around. Bandit camps.

Yeah maybe. I still think taking a drive to Wellington is a bit too easy.
But I'm not a writer, so I don't know what clever tricks they have in their arsenal.
Nate drove for a long time, who knows? Maybe all or most of the bandits arent north anymore, since heat would be hard for all of them and theyd freeze to death. If they are up north most probably wont go out in the cold LOOKING to start stuff.
Wait the baby can died because the storm?
There is no way any baby is going to survive in that blizzard
Creepy reminds me of those scary places from Fear and nazi zombies
Unless the baby is in a car or someplace warm and has baby forumla it should be okay, but if not... the chances of its survival are low.
That's what I was thinking. There's no way that new born baby could survive in the cold like that, let alone a goddamn blizzard.
Maybe it's just like this for the winter, and none of the kids from the Wellington community are playing on it because it's so damn cold. Right?
...
Right?!
Bah, I'm in denial.

Awww shit.... HOW DID I JUST REALIZE...... Wellington is just a pipe dream, but its to late they've gone to far...No Going Back
I'm hoping Clem can on the See-Saw with someone
Nice pic bro.
Back at ya.
If Kenny could he might give the baby his jacket, they should take Rebecca's jacket but i doubt they will be able too with the gunfire and all.

what if that area is near a tunnel?Because of the little arc you see there.
Man, I don't know WHEN this apocalypse started anymore.
I think it starts in 2014 now, seeing how in Episode 3 the comic book shop had advertisements for comics made in 2014.

:-'(
Maybe it signifies an end to Clem's childhood.....
Carl was almost raped though, nothing that bad has happened to Clementine.
Actually, Wellington is a village in Ohio.
Some of you have some REALLY depressing theories
And then Clem (all by herself) realizes this and she blacks out because she is wounded and was hoping when she got there they would patch her up but since it's not real she's going to die......I would cry if that happens....Then burn down Telltale HQ.
yea perfect.... though it did end either way in S1
Well according to the achievement pictures the episode ends right on this playground... this could be it
