Swingset

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

So remember when Season 2 was announced and it had the trailer. In which it had Lee and Clementine talking about how the world would get better. Then it shows young Clementine standing near the swingset in 'Starved For Help' and it goes to an older Clementine. Well what if the ending is this.

The Lee and Clementine talking commentary happens, and she gets to Wellington only to find its a playground full of the dead carcasses of other survivors who tried to make it. All the people she lost, was for nothing and she simply sits on the swingset in the snow, holding the baby who is crying. No food, no shelter, no supplies, nothing.

Then the final part of the words will be Lee saying: "Yeah I do. I'm not sure when but someday things have got to get better."

Clementine says: "I hope so" as she looks up and sees something in the distance. She's shocked, and it cuts to black.

  • To be honest I don't want Clem to see a group of survivors in the distance so it isn't too similar to the ending of season 1 but the rest I agree is a great ending and leaves us in suspense flr the next season.

The 400 days trailer theme playing during that (EG; Arvo pill scene) would be even more epic.

  • That would be cool and depressing but I think that the ending with shadows in the distance would be to similar to season 1's ending so maybe Clem just passes out or something and then the screen goes black with that being the ending...

I really love that, except as mentioned the survivors in the distance. The thought of Lee and Clementine's words playing over the babies cries with no actual hope in sight gives me goose pimples

  • How would Wellington be a swing set? Perhaps a she finds a swing set in the overrun, demolished remains of what used to be Wellington?

  • That would Be an awesome ending to me and a great set up for season three. I wonder if they will make a season four.

  • That's what I was thinking.

I hope Wellington isn't just a big ass pipe dream though. :c

  • No Wellington is the playground they teased in the Episode Four Accolades Trailer. The school has a playground and the playground is named 'Wellington Playground'. The "Chinese Whispers Effect" took place and it soon got around that Wellington is a safe-haven, when it wasn't it was just a playground. Nothing more, nothing less.

  • OMFG SPOILER ALERT NEXT TIME??/ JEZUZ.

  • Same here. I'm honestly hoping for a happy ending, but since I won't get that I want it as happy as they'll allow.

It's a theory based on a 5 second clip of a playground in the Episode 4 accolades trailer, so no, not a spoiler.

When I look at that playground I just get flashbacks of the jewellery store, alone, Slowly going mad and No hope... and then I think this is where she may have a hallucination of Lee that will give her the motivation she needs to keep going.

  • OMG SPOILER?/ WTF DUDE WTF

  • Perhaps I think she may at most collapse and flash-back to Lee motivating her to go on.
