Would you ?

In real life , if you got bit ... would you cut your arm or leg off too survive , but seriously that is gonna be so painfully unimaginable .... mabye I'd do it if I had some morphine and about 2 months of the strongest antibiotics and painkillers ... without those supplies ... dam I'd call it quits

  • I'd have someone do it for me, I don't think I'd be able to do it myself. :P

  • I'd try, but knowing me I'd mess up and end up bleeding out.

  • I probably would. I'd be so freaked out, I wouldn't care if it hurt.

  • Yeah def , it would be impossible too do it yourself ...

  • True another risk

I'd try, but knowing me I'd mess up and end up bleeding out.

  • i'd prefer somebody else did it, and as long as i had a tourniquet and they had a sharp machete, it would be better than dying, and it can actually be done in one swing in real life (i have seen some things on the internet) it doesn't have to take the typical telltale 5 gruesome swings to get it done

  • I'd wear protection on my arms and legs so that I wouldn't have to cut them off because I wouldn't get bitten, but if I did I would probably hesitate and by the time I decide to it would be too late, so having someone there to force you is kind of good.

  • If it's more then 1 swing .... oh boy

I bit my finger really hard by accident today. Off topic but I don't know how a walker can tear through skin so easily with rotting teeth. But I bit it and it hurt for a minute and all that was left was a tooth mark. So I definitley know I couldn't handle the pain of cutting my limb off, I'd throw in the towel.

  • TED_25 I respect your honest answer I guess we all have r limits ...

  • (Off topic sorry) My sister and I actually had a conversation a while ago about zombie teeth. Wouldn't they be falling out since zombies are rotting corpses? Sorry, I just had some Déjà vu there. lol

Welp, the things Lee Everett does. I'm not ready for that level of badassery.

  • Speaking of rotting... why don't the walkers rot and fall apart? I think it's been about 4-5 years in the comics, it doesn't take too long for a body to decompose.

  • It depends on where I got bit.

If I got bit in the arm or something, I'd have it amputated, whether I do it myself or somebody else do it. If it was somewhere like in the neck, I'd probably just kill myself or at least make sure I turn next to somebody I hate.

  • Ya, Exactly! Eventually, wouldn't walkers just fall apart?lol

  • I've though about that too, but there are always people dying, and thus new walkers. It's not like all walkers are the ones that died 4-5 years ago.

  • Uh, yeah I'd try at least. I probably wouldn't be able to finish it though, if it was just me. But if someone else was there, I'd beg them to do it for me. D: Since we know it's pretty possible to survive after a bite, I wouldn't give up that easily, even if I didn't have all the resources!

  • True, true ;)

  • I assume most walkers were from the beginning, I doubt people were dying at a constant rate. Have to run out of dead bodies sometime...Or live ones.

  • It might take a while, but eventually there wouldn't be any walkers left :)

  • That would suck. I'd definitely get someone else to do it no way could I do it.

  • I would probably get someone to cut it off with a really sharpened axe quickly and then if I can stomach it, get someone to cauterize it. If I was bitten on my leg I would "punch my own ticket".

    • Said no Lee Everett ever :P

Yeah def , it would be impossible too do it yourself ...

  • Nah, I wouldn't.

I'd try to survive my best in the ZA, but if I got bit, the fuck it, I'd kill myself before turning.

  • In real life nobody can cut there arm off all alone .... help is needed

  • Nope, I'm not cutting my arm off,

  • HiroVoidHiroVoid Moderator

This is actually why I didn't have Lee cut his arm off at the end of season 1. =P

  • I would have to try. It's either try and risk or die. But if nobody is with you, well, then you're fucked.. I would probably cry for hours if i had to do it. :D

  • You have to do what you can to survive. I would try.

  • No, this might just be me but I'd rather die a noble death charging into a herd of zombies with a knife with both arms, than carry on living with a stump instead. I just wouldn't like it having no arm, much like I didn't cut Lee's arm off.

  • If I had medical supplies available, yes.

  • if you hit the joints it'll be fast 1 to 2 if you go through the bone 3 to 4 hits to take it off

If it's more then 1 swing .... oh boy

  • I would definitely try, if the conditions were right (for example if I was in Petes position, i wouldn't do it because even if he did, nobody could carry him to safety and he would likely bleed out with no bandages, but I would do it if I was in Lees position where bandages were available then I would do it) and I would hope that there is something that could chop it off quick like a hatchet or a machete, instead of a bone saw

  • it's all down to willpower but if your in alot of pain you might attempt to fight the first person in reach on impulse

  • I'd cut it off. #NoRegrets.

  • Wrong. Aron Ralston did.
