Twdg season two. Bad, terrible, awful, or the worst game ever
I honestly love season two so far but the problem for me is there is pretty much no back story getting to know the other characters in the season. I miss the interaction like at Hershel's farm. I also miss having my choices actually effect the story. I loved season one but I also love season tw but there are just so many things that could have gone better with it. #clem forever

Title doesn't really represent the post, which I find kinda good. I'd like to know more about S2 characters too.
I titled it after what a lot of people are saying about it especially after episode four
So what? Still doesn't make sense
But I love it. Your list is invalid, as it excludes one of the two opinions.
I don't think season 2 has been bad. Just not as good as the first season. (Even with all the bugs and glitches) I would have liked more immersion, and actual gameplay, but telltale seems to be going for a "tv show with choices" type of format moving forward. Your choices don't really effect the outcome of the game, anyway. No matter what you choose in season one, the outcomes are still the same with just different diolouge. And as we have seen, player discisons from season 1 don't effect season 2 whatsoever.
None of the above, season two is great.
I think lack of the character development doesn't make it the "worst game over." Telltale just has some to improve on before s3.
How many games have you ever played?
Ladies and gentlemen, let's clap for logic.
it's awful.
Really? if its so awful why do i see you getting really hyped up for Episode 5..
Its none of them, it is amazing
I'm not really hyped. They killed off Nick and Sarah who were the only people I cared about besides clem obviously. I want to know how telltale can further ruin the series and I would at least like to look forward something. season 2 over all 4/10. Season 2 from episodes 1-3 7.5/10. Would've been better if they kept doing what they did in episode 1 and 2. But what can I expect from multiple writers?
Is "Alright" an option?
Were you just trolling us with the title?
It's good. Not great, but good.
For me, it's wasted potential. Had a great start, lots of good development. But they didn't follow through and now it's just a mess.
I think thats overreacting, its not a mess.. I think that it had a lot of potental that was wasted but.... theres a lot of pros in Season 2 everyone forgets because they are too focused on the cons.
Well personally the con's far outweigh the pro's IMO
Well that makes sense in your case since i really only have seen you on threads saying "Season 2 was crap" (Dont take offense im sure you are on other threads too) but when you are in a negitive place a lot, you get an even more negitive perception.
I see your point, but I dislike how you wrote it as bad, terrible, awful or the worst game ever.
Our choices didn't have much impact on the game, but episode 5 can make up for it. Even though it wasn't as good as Season 1, it was still captivating, I could still feel the tension, the mood, the build-up. To be honest, I think I learned to love characters faster in Season 2 than in Season 1, and you can't really expect every character to talk about their backstory... the past is history, it shouldn't really matter when the main goal is survival.
Come on, the Transformers games are mediocore.
I really like Season 2, but there are things about that really get under my skin.
There's the lack of character development and meaningful choices.
But I'm still as invested in the story as ever. Is it as good as the first season. No, not by a long shot. But it's still very compelling.
Honestly I wouldn't say any of these. It's just mediocre at this point .
Maybe they are, I haven't played them XD. But I don't know, mediocre isn't that strong of a word. It means something that just kind of "bleh", which describes my feelings for season two so far pretty well.
I think you're feeling let down because you're heavily comparing it to season one. GTA IV got much hate because it was "bleh" by GTA standards, but a "bleh" GTA is still better than 90% of all games. Just like a "Bleh" walking dead season two isn't mediocore compared to a lot of other games. I'd choose one TWDS2 over a hundred Watch Dogs.
True but I've only ever been a lurker on the forums here, I only spoke up when I have something to say i wanted Telltale to hear.
Please don't remind me of Watch_Dogs. I spent $70 on it Shudders. The thing is, I'm not really consciously comparing it to season one. I might be subconsciously. It's just that a of of the deaths feel cheap and a lot of potential is being thrown away, which isn't really that good for a game based entirely around the story.
I spent 70€ on it, that's even more. Luckily, I could sell it to my cousin for 60. Still, wow. That was one... disappointing experience. The running animation was so strange.
I agree with you, they have thrown out a lot of potential and some deaths were cheap. It isn't good for the story, but IMO, the story is still good, and it's fun to play the episodes. I agree with you, there have been some mistakes made recently, but I'm sure Telltale read the criticism and is going to use it to make future episodes better. We might see a great season three, as I don't think they'll take it into consideration for episode five. But I hope the third season will blow our minds as did season one. Personally, I had more fun playing the second season, but I think it's mainly due to the reduced gameplay (sounds ridiculous, I know, but it makes replaying these episodes more fun).
But this criticism has existed since episode one, yet it still hasn't been fixed. People back then complained about hubs, then episode two came around and people complained about them treating Clem like an adult, the characters flip flopping their personalities, and no hubs. The episode three came around and people complained about people treating Clem like an adult, no hubs, determinant characters being treated poorly, and there being no reaction to deaths. Then episode four came out and people are complaining about no hubs, determinant characters being treated poorly, people treating Clem like an adult, flip floppy characters, no reaction to deaths, and scenes that don't make sense. That's not even counting the whole Sarah incident. But you're right about season three, I really hope they take our criticism to heart and make it great.
Episode two had hubs, as far as I can recall. Yes, not as many and as good as season one, but they partly fixed that in the fourth episode. Yep, Clem being treated like an adult (not all the time, but at some points) is something they should fix in future seasons. But it never bothered me that much.
I think it's harder to incorporate criticism during a season and between two seasons. During this season, they experimented with the whole formula quite a lot (reduced gameplay...). I think they might have had too much on their minds as well. I agree, season two is not as groundbreaking as season one.
I still enjoy playing it. It's one of my favorite games.
And I'm positive we'll see a drastically improved season three.
They weren't really "hubs" though. You could walk around and look at stuff, but you couldn't really talk to people, which is why people were complaining about the lack of hubs in the first place.
k
This is a hella dumb discussion haha
Underwhelming and lazy at parts is how I would describe it.
Shut up, shut up, shut the fuck up.
Don't take this seriously. It IS a joke.
...Well, that escalated quickly.
the title probably wasn't the best, but people please read what he wrote instead of just insta-dislike, he even says right in the beginning that he loves season 2. so everybody calm your tits
