Issue 130 - Very Important (Spoilers)

I just finished reading Issue 130, and it heavily implies that the dead started TALKING! This guys Marco and Ken hide from a heard and they hear whispers coming from it. At first I thought it was just people covered in walker guts or something (which is the "logical" explanation), but at the very end of this issue Marco claims they spoke! Maybe there was something non-human about the voice, which created that reaction, but I'm seriously hoping there were human people in the herd and it's the stress that made him say that. If this were to become a real thing in TWD universe, what would be your reaction, and, most importantly, would we see it in the game?

  • I think it would be okay because it's not some stupid thing where zombies can just talk from the start. The Walking Dead has been around for quite a while, so if at issue 130 they develop the ability to speak somehow, that could be pretty cool.

  • the walkers talking????? that's stupid i hope telltale won't using this in season 3

  • I'm pretty sure the walkers ain't talking. The guy who said it is ethier nuts or there was a person hiding amongst them.

  • Would be pretty cool... They still have their Brain, and maybe that just one step to be human again. Who knows haha

  • They would have to be the Talkers instead of Walkers then.

  • They are learning...0.o

    Don't worry; it's okay.

Sorry, this just really amused me.

  • To be honest, I really just think it's another stupid cliffhanger that will be debunked on the second page of 131. Either that, or the zombies really have started talking... Which is ridiculous... Kind of like them learning to organize in Land of the Dead, except 10x less amusing...

  • There's a chance that the dead learned talking or were already adapted enough in the beginning, but it's pretty unlikely. More reasonable are people living among the dead or stress hallucinations.

  • Maybe. He could be testing the waters though. I mean, let's face it: walkers are just not that much of a threat anymore. It's shown in the very first issue of this volume.

  • What if there was a plot twist, where Walkers seemingly started to get their personalities back?

  • I just believe that Marco was hearing stuff and thaaangs.

We've also had a crazy governor who believes his zombified niece is alive and a Ricktator who believed his dead wife was calling him on the telephone.stuff of that nature too... chances are he was just going crazy (with the off chance that he encountered another group of humans in the herd)
