It has season 2 characters, just not every single character. Less popular icons are more likely to get past it.
Basically how it works is if someone gets past it(wins), they add the character or icon they were thinking of to its list or if it's already on the list, they choose it to let the Akinator's AI know of new things to help it guess better. So in other words, the more people play it, the harder it gets to beat it.
