    It's just extremely swollen and red. It looks a bit purple though, uh oh.

    Not really immediate, he was lying there a while (if you're talking about the comic) He never should have urvived what Michonne did to him in the comic... the TV version was just Mazzara's pathetic watered down version :-) YAY for Scott Gimple! :-)
