DLC Ideas for Season 2?

Any ideas for the DLC for Season 2? My thought is that we're at Carver's camp and we take control of the guards we saw, Troy, Tisha, Vera, etc. and the hoard is going on right now, we can hear the screams and shadows of people struggling against the walkers while we see a desk with walkie talkies, guns, hats, etc. with the guards' name tags on them. We click on them to get a little backstory of the guards and how they got to the camp. At the end is what is happening during the hoard and we see what ultimately happened to them. I believe it will follow the same setup as 400 Days and gives us some little history behind the warehouse and the guard who could've been major characters. It's just my opinion, everyone's welcome to write down their own.

  • I was thinking 3 new characters, Lilly and Tavia. Titled 'The Forgotten' all characters end up making their way to Wellington where they think they can find hope.

Stories of people who escaped from Carver's camp during the herd invasion?

  • I was thinking that we should play as a character who suffers from anxiety and other things that make others think of him as a liability, so that we can play the game in a so called 'liability's' perspective, showing that they suffer more than anyone else.

Maybe a story of people trying to find the cure? Like scientists and the military, but they are unsuccessful and have to learn how to survive out in the open world?

Maybe also another character who goes to her dream vacation home but it turns out to be a nightmare, and she ends up being all alone with her sister who she then ends up losing and she has to face the world alone.

They could all end their stories near where the group stays at the end of Episode 5.

  • I'd like to see how the 400 days group turned out.

  • Another DLC introducing lots of interesting characters which will be completely forgotten about and thrown away in the third season.

  • Funny how almost every negative comment I make about the game gets upvotes, but when I say something positive, I'm accused of being a Telltale mole. Sad, but funny at the same time.

  • Still, a little sad, don't you think?

I need a particular DLC with Kenny and his family :3

  • Very. I guess the forum loves pessimism at the moment... hopefully once this whole Sarah thing blows over, it will go back to normal.

  • Yep. It's hard to have fun around here, especially since a lot of people try to force you to share their opinion instead of just accepting different opinions and discuss on that base. Plus, a lot of people represent their opinion as a fact based on evidence, that's a pain in the ass. Excuse my language.

  • Don't apologise, you're not wrong. I firmly believe Sarah is not disabled and I'm treating as fact as we haven't been informed otherwise, it doesn't matter if someone 'identifies' with her or not, Telltale have not in anyway shape or form made it canon, so it can't be treated as such but I respect your right to speculate. I think that's a fair enough opinion, no? Tell that to a Sarah fan/Greg Miller hater, and I'm automatically an "ableist" scumbag. It's nice to see the occasional fun thread, or text adventure game. But the forum has gotten far too serious these past few weeks.

  • Yep, this. This is a video game, after all, it's fiction. But whatever, haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate.

  • You mean when Katjaa was talking about how they just drove and passed people? Also the gas station Kenny was talking about? You can actually see it in the opening sequence of 400 Days.

  • Indeed. Because opinions on video game characters transfer into real life where there are actual consequences. IF that were the case, I'd be a mass murderer locked up in prison. cough GTA cough

Anyone else remember the hype in the community when we all thought Eddie was going to be in Amid the Ruins? Yep, Trolltale Games strikes again. Slides cannot be trusted.

  • Okay, it seems I wasn't the only one with that problem. I guess it was the Telltale Servers who just screwed around with us.

  • Don't forget also hyping the hell out of it saying that, "Your choices in the DLC will carry over and serve a major role in the story." Major role my ass.

  • Where did it say "Major role"? I thought it was a DLC to bridge the time gap? It says that the story is "tailored" by how you play. Not that it massively effects the story. Though I agree with you, how the 400 days characters were handled was disappointing. The most disappointing thing about season two so far.

  • I had an idea for one where you play as an older woman. Maybe mid-fifties to early sixties. You never play as elderly women in games, and it could be nice to get a different perspective. Anyway, the main gimmick of the DLC would be entirely focused on this one character. No popping between others like in 400 Days. The DLC starts a few months or so before the outbreak, Let's say in Baton Rouge. Never been explored in the comics, and is still on the same side of the country, so why not?

Okay, start of the DLC, a few months before the outbreak, and it's the older woman's birthday and she gets a dog from her spouse. You get to do some bonding with the dog and her husband, then timeskip to the first days. Her husband dies, and her and the dog escape the city. You meet someone while escaping and you spend the whole episode bonding with that person and your dog, maybe some timeskips thrown in after important moments. Anyway, the finale of the episode is basically having to choose to save your dog from the walkers (who do eat animals, as we have seen), or your friend. The dog is basically her only reminder of the past and her husband (and it's a dog, and animal cruelty is sad), while the other is your friend who has looked out for you and had your back this whole time, and would likely be more useful in helping you survive and be less of a burden and liability. And then the character and whoever she saved could be an important side character in the next season.

That's just a brief overview of the idea, and I have a few more that I think would be pretty cool. I believe this could be a difficult choice, but it would really depend on how likable the other human character is. And it would probably work out better over multiple episodes since it could be difficult to become attached to a character in just 90 minutes, but it worked in 400 Days, so who knows.

  • They should make DLC About whaf if lee did not dead. so we play as him XD

  • Ye, sorry about the replies :P
