Same here. As much as it irritated me when people would downvote without explanation, or just to be a troll, the downvote button also served it's purpose. Now we can't downvote the trolls into oblivion, or call out the people who make stupid and baseless arguments. Now there are comments out there with a large amount of upvotes, and without the large amount of downvotes to counteract them, people are under the impression that the comment is well received or is accurate.
actually... I miss it. Who cares that trolls use it for their own entertainment, I would like to use it as how its meant to be used and tons of others would agree with me. and this way you could also tell how many people disagreed with something... Oh well...

I don't think it was because it bothered people, I think it was because mostly people were disliking just for the purpose of disliking. Dislikes have literally no place in the existence of these forums. They're just annoying, which is why they were removed.
