anyone else happy they got rid of downvotes?

  • Sorta to be honest. I mean yes, it gives a little cheery notice when you get an upvote, but those who disagree will be a more potential cause to long-term arguments instead of giving a downvote.

  • I have mixed feelings about it. I like that people can't downvote just cause, but it makes it more difficult to determine which threads are ads or troll threads. But overall I'm happy about it

  • I disagree for the following reasons:

  • No. Not at all bring them back. I'm too lazy to write a detailed response on how I didn't agree with someone. The downvote was my quick way to spread my opinion.

  • I'm not happy, we now can't distinguish troll threads from regular threads, and people can freely post stupid stuff without much consequence, for example people say things like "clementine sucks" just to get others mad and they know not much will happen to them since they won't get 50 downvotes.

  • I wish I could downvote the more assenine comments, but it was just horribly misused. People say "don't worry about the downvotes", but when you get 50, you kind of feel like shit, specially if the comment isn't stupid/offensive.

  • You can always flag their posts and mark them as "Trolling".

  • I could, but it can be prevented from happening in the first place. If the downvotes were still here they wouldn't think it's very funny to say things like "try and downvote me now bitches" or "____ sucks"

  • Hell yes.

  • yeah i like it, i fell like if somebody can't put why they dislike something into words they usually wouldn't have a valid reason except "don't like" and if that is all they can come up, with they may as well have no input at all

  • I think its pretty useless to keep the upvote button. It looks odd so alone. Whats the deal with the button anyway? Get rid of the complete "like system" telltale.
