There are a lot of threads similar to this topic. I would be angry and annoyed. Simply because I can't play through an entire game, AGAIN, and regardless of my choices my guy dies. The whole point of video games has always been not to lose lives. It's hard to feel like you won the game if your character dies no matter what. The story telling is awesome, don't get me wrong. I don't blame them for Lee, but...they can't get away with it again I don't think.
Also, the whole point of season one was to ensure Clementine's safety. Even if they wanted to do a season three from the perspective of someone else they would have to make it clear that our mission was complete and that Clementine is off somewhere doing just fine and surviving. Otherwise it was all pointless.
Just goes to show you the mindset and maturity of some folks. It is their characters that they created and none of us are writing the story. I'd still feel rather sad, just probably wouldn't affect my life as much as others lives. I'd still be all up for season 3 as well. At least this season will have ended with some closure versus another annoying cliffhanger because those only make the wait for whats next that much more agonizing.
An old user on the forums told this place was very chaotic when Lee died, hate threads and theories on how he lived were everywhere. And anyone tried to reason Lee died were hated on, this went on for a long time.
She won't die. All of Season 1 was building up to making Clem the protagonist. That's why they killed Lee. Season 2 has been all about de… moreveloping Clem and she will live through the season and carry on in Season 3. I guarantee it 100%. Her story is not over. They are not going to go back to the beginning of the apocalypse and start with a different character until Clementines story is over.
Clementine will die one day. We all know that. But she has become a hardened survivor and chances are she will outlive every character in his universe.
"Fuck you."[Wipes tears, uninstalls Season Two and turns off computer]
Mock away. I understand that this is Telltale's story and that a "well-placed" death can do wonders for the intensity of the finale and serve as a tragic yet satisfying conclusion for Clem's character... but I strongly believe the latter statement is untrue and besides, I don't care.
My reaction would be anything but rational, and I don't care. Clementine is the only thing that I care about in this season right now. A lot of people have felt strongly about the S2 characters' deaths, but since it is my opinion that they all lacked a decent amount and quality of strong characterization and interactions throughout the all too brief season, they did not move me in any way other than to feel frustration in some cases. I did not feel sad during Nick or Sarah's deaths (well, I did a little on Sarah's first death) I felt frustrated about what I thought was a poor handling of the characters and themes.
That said, I guess I should be careful about what I wish for. They might not kill Clementine off during the finale, but they can still break her. Still, being alive, it is my belief that one can recover. Death is so final... no matter how "peaceful" it may be.
Tldr: The episode scripts feel rushed and sloppy, I don't like/care about the majority of the characters, my immersion is broken, and I'm just rapidly getting bored of the series.
Episode 3 for me started a downward spiral of losing interest in the game. I felt like many parts of the episode were done in such a lazy manner that it broke immersion for me. A lot of people didn't like the first episode of Season 2, but I did, and I thought episode 2 was one of the better in the series. However, after being on the forums and reading the constant nitpicking I was already in a place mentally when episode 3 came out to look for flaws rather than just sit back and enjoy the episode like I used to, and really even if I wasn't prepared to nitpick I would have anyway.
Carver's characterization didn't sit right with me based on what we had seen so far, and his new level of aggression felt forced in order for me to hate him even more than I may already have. The way the 400 Days characters were handled also did nothing good for me; most of them felt out of character. The final thing that bugged me about the episode was that it felt like such an anticlimactic end to everything the season had been building up to. The whole season had been about avoiding Carver's camp and the people involved with it, and then the camp itself felt like an afterthought. We didn't really get to know any of the characters there, we didn't have much opportunity to explore the camp, and in about 90 minutes it was an afterthought and gone forever. I was also upset that Nick's impact was reduced to about 4 lines of dialog after being a focal point in the first two episodes. For the first time I really felt like the episode was sloppy and rushed, and my immersion was completely broken.
So then episode 4 gets released, and I'm already no longer immersed and only playing the episode because I spent the money for the season pass or whatever Telltale calls it. I actually really enjoyed the episode up until the point where we found Nick, but when I saw Nick dead on the fence my slight re-immersion was broken again because I could see the writer's hand. It was so obvious that Nick's time in the story was up after he got shot that I felt more like an editor reading a script than a consumer playing a game, because determinate characters are always handled in the same manner. Luke's reaction to Nick's death vs his reaction to Jane leaving also made me think less of him as a character. Then we had the option to save Sarah or not, and once again I knew that no matter what I did that her time in the story was up.
I'm getting tired of typing so I'm going to summarize the rest. At the end of the episode the only characters left that I care about are Mike and Bonnie, but since Kenny and Luke are the focal points I know that Mike and/or Bonnie are pretty much guaranteed to die. The Russian characters were handled poorly. http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/76751/them-funny-russians/. Clem basically feels emotionless, which some may argue fits the story, but it bores me. I'm sure if I felt like it I could dredge up more reasons that aren't coming to me at the moment.
Anyone remember SAW III when they killed off Jigsaw, and the rest of the series could only feature flashbacks with Tobin Bell because the character was...well, dead? This would be the same basic situation. The series might TECHNICALLY continue, but with Clementine out of the loop, I simply wouldn't be interested any more.
If Telltale were to honestly think killing Clementine is good plot development or that killing Clementine is a good ending to the season, they'd be stupid.
Pulling the same trick two seasons in a row by killing the main protagonist would be poorly written plot, and honestly boring. Doing the same thing isn't interesting or exciting, and it would really just piss everyone off...
Though, I would never put anything past Telltale, so if they did do it, I'd be pretty angry, really angry, more then anything.

Clem was a kid in season 1 and the whole season was spent protecting her. Season 2 is Clem as a borderline teenager mentally becoming an adult within the post apocalyptic world because she has to survive. My guess is that she will not die, its likely season 3 will feature her as a young woman in say 10 years time trying to find a cure to the disease or something along those lines, perhaps then they will introduce a new protagonist if they decide to do season 4 and 5.
Oh,thanks. You made some strong points here and there, but I for one still care about the characters and feel immersed in this season. Some characters' deaths were handeled pretty bad,I'll admit it but that's just the writers' fault.
With that said, season 2 is not bad(still nothing compared to season 1) and I recommend you still enjoy it for what it is,and I bet the finale will be really good
If you choose the "Friends make us strong." dialogue option when talking to Sarah in the trailer, she'll say that Lee protected her more then anyone else in her life.

Clem = Me
I probably would break down for a few minutes. Or hours. And damn, I'd cry.
#No
I'd get stuck on denial.
All will live!
Now that is the ending I would like to see! But something tells me that it's not gonna happen.....
And everyone else will be like
I'm Clomid
I remember an old forum user told me there was chaos here when Lee died.
As cool as it would be for a new protagonist, I don't think she will die. Telltale knows they are killing off half their fanbase by killing Clem off.

A Series of Very Angry Rants
Will they be on your channel?
It's the Jersey Devil!
We all will die someday...It feels inevitable >_>
Same here. If it happens we should write our own ending and refuse to accept Telltale's one. NO, I'M NOT LISTENING! CLEM'S ALIVE, I TELL YOU!
Telltale: Clem's dead.
Fans: NANANANANANA I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

I think the world will explode.

Am I the only one here who thinks that this song is just..Weird?
A million bucks says that this is the trailer or ending song for EP5.

This is just to let you know that I replied to Flog with my reasoning.
I didn't cry either. Of course, if you go by my avatar I'm undead so maybe I can't feel THE FEELS either.
Saw 3D is my favorite.

We've probably got her for another season.

yup hopefully it doesn't come down to that
i know man it gave me feels.
I would just be shocked because I'm not expecting her to die. It's possible though.
