How would you react if Clem dies in EP5?

  • I think the song is talking about Christa losing Clem after she fell in the river. Maybe it's hinting we'll never see Christa again? Though it's highly unlikely

    I'll miss you, sweet pea! ;-;

  • Depends on how she dies. If she dies in the middle of the blizzard then I would be pretty heartbroken. It would just be like, I just wasted HOW MUCH of my time and money on Season 2 to see the only character I care about die? I love both seasons, but Lees death had meaning to it. It was to save someone, maybe the only person he loved any more. And in the end, we had hope even after Clem left or shot Lee, that she would carry on because of his sacrifice.

But if she dies trying to save the Baby and the others, I would say she's one hell of a person, who was strong and brave until the very end. And then I would cry.

  • Listen to the lyrics.... "You are lost and gone forever, hopeful sorry Clementine."
    ...
    Clem is a goner.

Season 1 Clem Lee: Holy shit. Clem: Swear. Season 2 Clem Luke: Wanna do some dangerous SHIT Clem? Clem: FUCK YES!

  • The only one's who will die in the finale is Kenny, Luke, Bonnie, Mike, the Russians, Christa, and Arvo. Clem and the baby make it to a safe zone, and survive with others there.

    I'd be pretty pissed off.

  • II'llll be honest. If she were to die...well I wouldn't care...she is a fictional character and its your fault to get attached to the character....please respect that...

  • I really don't think they'd kill Christa, I think we're going to have a scene with her and the baby, and I doubt she'd die in the same episode she comes back in. I think that Luke might have a chance of living as well, or being unknown. I agree with you on everyone else though.

  • I'd probably be confused, I don't really get why they would kill her. Other than that, I'd be an emotional wreck, and pissed at telltale (depending on if her death had some kind of reason, or if it was just to make us cry).

  • We respect your opinion, but this game is non-fiction which means it can happen. What if you were in Clem's situation, and someone said they wouldn't care if you died? People who play the game can relate to the characters which makes the emotion come out. Like Lee he was very special to Clem and lost him. This game teaches you to stick with the one's you love, because you'll never know when it's your turn to go. I relate to Clem because I lost loved one's i wished were still alive.

  • Really? Yes it does. It's a story based on facts and events, and people.

Fiction means a story completely made up and not true.

Fine call me uneducated if you need to. I don't care anymore...

You clearly have no idea what nonfiction means.

  • This story IS untrue. It didn't happen, which makes it fiction. The characters may be relatable, and I'm attached to a lot of them, but I'm 99% certain these characters don't exist in real life.

Also, you originally said that non-fiction COULD happen, not that it did happen. And I'm not calling you uneducated, just trying to help.

I would probably wait for the Game Over screen to pop up, and when it doesn't I'll probably explode into tears.

  • Doesn't matter how I'd react. It wouldn't bring her back to life.

  • Well thanks for the help. I never said they exsist in RL. I said the situations in the universe could happen, which makes it real. As for the characters they not real, but real in people's heart and minds.

  • Well everyone dies. As sad as i will be its necessary so the game can get back on track.

  • I would accept it. As much as I love the Walking Dead, I don't want Telltale to give Clem invincible plot armor simply because "the fans demand it".

  • Comments like this make me miss the dislike button. They don't have to kill Clementine to get the game back on track - how did you even come to that conclusion? It doesn't even make sense. If they want to get the game back on track, then they need better writers. Enough with these stupid shocking deaths already, it's beyond old.

Clem sacrificing herself for anyone, while heroic, would feel too much like Lee's death with not nearly enough leading up to that outcome.

Wouldn't be worth the cheap feels from a narrative perspective, imho. I could see this episode as dealing some sort of death blow to all that remains of Clem's innocence though. Won't lie, that song paired with the vine was pretty friggin' ominous.

  • I'd write a few death threats to Telltale, then swallow everything in my medicine cabinet....

In all seriousness I'd be very surprised. I see Clem being their cash cow for a long time.

  • I'd be very surprised if Clementine died in S2E5. It would also make me very curious about season 3. I mean, why even bother with a season 3 if Clem is dead? What could they possibly do to generate interest in season 3 if Clem is gone?

    No, Clementine has to live.

I want my Clem to be like Molly or Jane. Maybe she'll help out a group, but she won't stay with them long. She'll leave before the shit hits the fan and will be smart enough to know when that's about to happen.

Same here. If it happens we should write our own ending and refuse to accept Telltale's one. NO, I'M NOT LISTENING! CLEM'S ALIVE, I TELL YOU!
