Similarities between both Episode 4s?

So, I noticed a few similarities between Episode 4 this season and Episode 4 last season:

  • A hyper-competent loner girl who shows up, helps the player character out, tells us about how her sister died, then leaves the group. (Molly / Jane)
  • A character who runs off-screen and shows up dead later. (Chuck / Nick)
  • A character you can either save by pulling them up or leave them behind to die. Eventually they die anyway from something breaking underneath them, then becoming trapped with a bunch of zombies approaching them. (Ben / Sarah)
  • Pregnancy drama. (Christa / Rebecca)
  • The group splitting up to accomplish several goals at once, but all of them needing the player's help, which allows the player to choose the order in which these events occur.
  • Somebody being careless and letting a whole bunch of zombies through. (Ben / Luke)

I'm sure there's probably more. Anyway, I've only noticed these in Episode 4, but have you noticed any similarities like these in other episodes? And do you think they'll have a lot of similarities to the last season finale in the upcoming episode?

  • Both episodes end with a black screen!

  • Don't forget the way Clementine was sitting on th staircase of the museum as Jane left. She sat the same way on a staircase in S1.

  • Both episodes don't end with a teaser for Episode 5.

    "A toughened lone-wolf older sister that lost her disabled little sister, helping the group and leaving at the end of the episode (Molly; Jane)"

    A character who runs off-screen and shows up dead later. (Chuck / Nick)

    "A character that can help Clementine escape from zombies dies off-screen (Chuck; Nick)"

    A character you can either save by pulling them up or leave them behind to die. Eventually they die anyway from something breaking underneath them, then becoming trapped with a bunch of zombies approaching them. (Ben / Sarah)

    "A choice given to the player to kill or save a character who is typically viewed as a liability to the group (Ben; Sarah)"

  • Whoops, didn't know someone had done this already. Sorry. But thanks for showing me your thread, now I can see a few I didn't notice myself (like the Vernon / Arvo comparison.)

  • Molly/Jane. Stealing - Arvo/Stranger. Clem sitting at the top of stairs. Etc.

    The group encounters a horde of Walkers. (S1 - beginning/S2 - near end)

    Clementine determinantly shoots something/someone. (S1 - Walker/S2 - Rebecca)

    A character threatens another character. (S1 - The Stranger/S2 - Jane)

    Both episodes also needed medicine. (S1 - for Omid/S2 - for Rebecca)

    5 characters leave the main character before the absolute end of the episode. (S1 - Ben, Kenny, Christa, Omid, Clementine/S2 - Sarita, Ben, Sarah, Jane, Rebecca)

    A determinant character, that you saved in a different episode, meets their fate. (S1 - Ben/S2 - Nick)

  • Both of the penultimate episodes are used just to further the story line and build up for a strong finale

    Wow, damn, you're right.

    • Group can't move on because of medical reasons (Omid's leg/Rebecca's pregnancy)
    • Camp run by bad man gets overrun by walkers (Crawford/Carver's camp)
    • People are afraid Kenny's losing it (Christa/Everyone)

    Also, whenever a bag of medicine shows up, an angry mob appears shortly after. (Ben's bag/Dee's bag/Arvo's bag)
