Clem getting shot and baby's fate

It looks as if she's been shot , in the trailer...

In the key art she appears with the baby and the gun, and in the trailer, just the gun...

I wonder if there'll be a choice to leave the baby so Clem can conserve her strength after getting shot?

  • Leave the baby= Clem doesn't have to exert herself much, as a result, she lives as she reaches the final place.

  • Take the baby = The weight of having to carry the baby in one arm and the gun in the other makes her strain her wound too much, and by the time she reaches the final place, she bleeds out. Baby lives instead of her.

If it's indeed a pistol gunshot, maybe Bonnie acted as some sort of meat shield for Clem? Clem is standing directly behind Bonnie, whom Maud, the only Russian with a pistol, is aiming at.

The shot would go through Bonnie and her backpack, and finally hit Clem, with much less force thanks to Bonnie. Maybe that's why it didn't do much damage?

I don't have a gif of that scene, but during it they're both stepping to the right, alligning perfectly with Clem, with Bonnie moving closer to Clem as things get heated up. Her shielding Clem would be a nice way for Bonnie to feel like she redeemed herself. She tells Clem she still feels guilty, after all...

Vitali seems to be aiming directly at Kenny

And Buricko is aiming at Mike and Luke:

Here's a rough map of their positions when the shootout starts , Maud, Clem and Bonnie are almost alligned:

  • Good choices...

What would you do? I'd leave the baby...

...I really don't know what I'd do. I don't want Clem to die, but to just leave the baby like that...

  • I'd rather die allowing someone else to live than have someone die for my safety

I'm not gonna kill Clementine over a baby that's as good as dead anyway.

What I want to know is how Telltale plans to proceed with season 3 if they're going to either kill Clem, or make her determinant. Personally speaking, I don't have any interest in starting over from scratch with a brand-new character.

I would choose to leave the baby if Clementine could die if we took him with her. Clementine deserves to live longer, and she didn't really have a childhood, before zombies were walking around and want to eat her. That little girl's been through so much, and she can't die after all she's been through, i won't let her!

  • I don't have the heart to be so selfish. If Clementine has to die, so be it.

  • Ugh this is bad. If I knew that taking the baby would kill Clem I'd never do it, but since I'll probly not know that I'll keep it and Clem dies.

(If this theory is true) D:

  • If she was really shot there she wouldn't be standing/kneeling. It's probably is a blood stain she got splattered on her.

That being said I honestly have no idea if I would leave or take the baby. I'm just so conflicted.

  • If they make Clementine determinant doesn't that just mean she'll end up dying later on anyway?

  • That would make Clem a determinant character. She would die a bit later on anyway :(

  • If Clem were shot in that location, given how small she is, it would be fatal. The bullet would either hit her lung or hit a major blood vessel, both of which would kill her fairly quickly. Her one arm is wrapped around her in an "I'm cold" way, not "I'm hurt" way. Her face would also exhibit pain. Clem's not a robot and her face doesn't show pain so thus she was not shot.

It's either walker blood or blood from someone else. It could also be dirt, but given the snow, that's not likely. At most in that case, it would be a wet spot but Telltale doesn't really show people being wet. Could also be throw up from the baby.

  • I'll save Clem. I'll do everything I can/have to do to save her.

  • It's too clean and round to be a blood splatter. It looks like a gunshot wound that's bleeding and staining her jacket around it from within.

Clem CAN'T die. Clem WON'T die. Join the chant!

  • I may sound like a complete bastard here but If given the choice I'd always go with Clementine.

The little girl that I practically raised throughout the zombie apocalypse isn't going to die like that. Even if it means having to leave the baby.

  • I can't think of it....I just can't.....

  • Even in the apocalypse the Russians manage to fuck things up :D

If that is the choice though that baby is going to be left behind, I guess there is no going back from that.

  • She would have died if it were a gunshot wound, too close to her heart.

  • Blood spatters can be really round if whatever was bleeding was really close to clem, besides it's really hard for blood to soak through the fabric on those really puffy nylon jacket.

  • They'll both die, and we'll play as the racoon in season 3.

What do you think it could be? It seems too dark to be baby vomit...the baby isn't there either... and it's too round to be a blood spatter from someone else.

Will the baby cough blood onto her jacket as she's carrying him or something? o_o

She would have died if it were a gunshot wound, too close to her heart.

She's not shot. Thats just blood on her coat from something else. If she got shot there she would be dead.

  • They want to make us believe that she's gonna die. But they can't do that, not this time.

  • What About Everyone Else? They Could Have Been Separated, And Already There. So When Clem Reaches Where She Has To Be The Group Helps her With The Medicine (If You Stole From Arvo)

  • Maybe the baby died and coughed up blood in its final moments. Maybe the pizza and ice cream choice is to leave the baby or kill it before it turns. Maybe its Maybelline...

If Clem were shot in that location, given how small she is, it would be fatal. The bullet would either hit her lung or hit a major blood ve

  • She might've been shot in the leg....it looked like she was limping in the Vine

  • Wow its disturbing how many people would just leave a baby behind :/

I would take it. If Clem is going to die, then it should have meaning, like dying trying to save the baby.

  • Good theory.

Maybe when Kenny dies he's holding the baby, and we have the choice to leave it with his body or to take it with us? That would explain why we have to be the ones to carry it at least.

  • I'm pretty sure you right. In real life, that shot would collapse a lung, shatter the collarbone and most likely rip through the major artery that runs just beneath it. A kid her size would probably bleed out before she could even get back up, let alone trek to hell and back, while carrying a baby and a gun.

That said, Telltale handles gunshot injuries about as realistically as Hollywood, so you never know.

Wait, if we have the choice to save or leave the baby, doesn't it mean that he'll end up dying anyway since he would now be a determinant character?

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't even notice this! Thank you so much!

  • Maybe telltale is just trying to scare us. They've done something like this before. In ''In Harm's Way'' trailer, when Kenny said ''Go on, you don't need to see this'' he didn't have blood around his eye, just had it closed and looked weird around it. Maybe they'll just try to scare us and think that Clem will die or something. I hope not.

Clementine in season 3... someone asks her how she survived that gunshot.

    "I got lucky... Real lucky."

Anyway, it could just be a placeholder? Like how Kenny didn't appear with his eyepatch during the Carver scene in the EP3 trailer...

  • I would take the baby but new born's weigh practically nothing. She could just put the gun away and use the good arm to hold the baby. She would bleed out at the same rate unless she could find bandages or something to stop the bleeding.

  • Not if Clem's story ends....

  • If she die i stop buy TWD games dont like to see kids die

  • Considering a 3rd season is already confirmed, and the lack of anyone meaningful introduced as a possible protagonist for that season, I'm going to go with the whole not being shot thing. Unless she magically finds a fully operating clinic/hospital in the episode or something.

I don't know why, but it seems she keeps her gun in hand at all the teasers so far.

I guess it must be dangerous at the blizzard? She must be quick to aim and shoot at walkers? In the key art there's walkers all around...
