I find myself agreeing with IGN that Amid the Ruins was the lowest spot of the Season. Though it had some good spots, Telltale always stumble when it comes to the 4th episode. Around Every Corner was their finest 4th episode imo. It was very great and atmospheric, But the ending wasn't that good. In Sheep's Clothing was the weakest 4th episode of Telltale. Amid the Ruins lacked its individuality and depth of atmosphere or intensity of events, It was basically just a set-up for Ep5. I also agree with you that they didn't portray the Survivalists vs Community very well, Though I'm a massive Jane fan and She kicked ass in Ep4, I'd have loved to see a moralist to get that depth of character as well. I'm waiting for Ep5 to fix those flaws and I hope Telltale doesn't screw this up.
I, too, would be somewhat disappointed.
I liked it... and then not so much. Your predictions regarding the overarching themes of the sea… moreson seem pretty spot on, from what I have seen, but I still argue that the execution and the lack of a strong characterization and real moral dilemma regarding the moralist vs pragmatist stances, since the season only seems to endorse the latter. It does not matter if I am in agreement with that posture (or at least the not so extreme version of it), it is... sad( ?) to see that a game that is supposed to give me an argument, a real tough choice between the two so overwhelmingly panders to that philosophy and completely disregards the alternative.
I know your stance towards Sarah, and even I as not a big fan of her I thought that the point Jane (bless her, I still liked her a lot in this, even if the only reason is my headcannon) and the writers were trying to make came off way too forced for my taste;… [view original content]

Guys with release coming up and leaks are possible, I would like to say one thing to help reduce the spreading of leaks on here.
If you find leaks please don't post on here "LEAKS RUN AND HIDE" calmly send the link to an mod and don't post about the leak on here since it gains popularity the more people who view it. If anyone asks for the leaks please don't share links or info on how to find the leaks since that'll possibly lead to more spreading. I don't want to see people vacating this site if there are leaks 'cause the wait becomes longer and tedious.

If seen several active users (who should know better) post threads like "CHOICES POSSIBLY LEAKED!".
Dont do that, it just turns the situation into a bigger deal.
So...does that mean Clem is gonna be okay and we were worrying about nothing? Does the choices decide the fate of Clem internally? The survival part I'm still somewhat skeptical about, but I'm starting to think that survival means that Clem will become a lone wolf like Jane and not care about being part of a group if the current group she's in dies off, and just focuses on her own survival. Humanity is an obvious one. She wants to do what is right. Empathy is a little foggy for me. The definition of empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another, so the thought that occurred in my mind is that if Clem choses empathy, she could be like a mentor to somebody and explain to them how she felt in a similar situation, like if you chose the option to explain to Sarah about Lee, stating that she was just as scared as Sarah was when Carlos died. I could be completely wrong and Telltale had decided to just kill her off if you make the wrong call, but after seeing this tweet, I've got a little bit more hope that Clem is gonna survive. Only way to find out is to wait until August 26 so that I can play the episode.
I don't think this is about Clem living or not, they're not making it out like that. What they're saying is who will she become? I made this point in a discussion video a while back, this season is focusing on the humanity of Clementine and whether you can keep it alive in such a world, There's been various examples of Clementine showing empathy for those she cared for: Nick, Sarah, Alvin. Her decisions saved their lives for a short time which reflects on the humanity Clem can show, but in the end they still end up dying and that can be a harsh lesson for Clementine in the way that she can't keep people alive and she'll die if she cares too much. Jane made a great example of it. In the end this is your Clementine, the choices you made will show who she becomes. Will she become a hardened and cold survivor like Jane? or will she still keep the caring side of her alive. No matter the choice, there's no going back for your Clementine
By the way here's the video I was talking about in which I reference in how the season is focusing on Survival and Humanity:

Every day is one step closer to release
I'll throw Kenny to the wolves in a second if it came down to saving him or Clem.
Strange, because Erin voiced both of those characters!
