Any new theories on the skeleton in the Episode 5 slide

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

So now that we are a mere few days before the Season finale....does anyone have any last predictions on that thing? Or is it just a generic walker.

Comments

  • Amid The Ruins Slide - Foreshadowing Clem picking a side.

There will be a doug/carly situation with Luke & Kenny (my guess), and whoever ends up with you will be determinant, like the 400
days characters. And doug or carly.

The skeleton is just to represent the ruins. Lots of dead people, and walkers.

  • Clementine. They keep showing her in a storm in previews so I feel like she's gonna die. That or Christa.

  • I think it died.

  • It could be Sarah with all her skin and hair ripped off. :P

No, I think it just represents the fact that the cold freezes the zombies in their tracks. The last achievement of the game is "All The Dead Lie Down", and this zombie is definitely lying on the ground.

  • It's sure spooky and scary. Just some sp00ky scary skeleton in the snow.

  • its definitely symbolism probably meaning someone important will die but that's expected.

  • It's the only slide in this Season that shows no living characters. Clearly it's indicating that Clem will end up alone at some point in the episode.

  • yep probably just like the season finale last season with Clem standing alone in the field.

  • Looking at the skeleton, now this is just a thought of mine and probably doesn't mean anything,

    BUT...

...the clothes the on the skeleton are like Lee's (Blue shirt and White sleeves)...

  • And the shoes are different. Mhm

  • Didn't know you could even see the shoes.

  • On PC and PS Vita you can slide the slides and see the full thing. :)

    I think it's "just a walker"

Notice the last achievement on the wiki? "All the dead lie down" I think those two are hints that Clem, and whoever can drive the car in "We Slowly Drove" will reach far enough north that it gets too cold for Walkers to follow.

So, "dead lie down" could mean that everyone who's dead (walkers) all lie down, a very litteral meaning, which many WD achievements are.

Edit: added spoiler cuz achievements talk

Edit II: I never read any comics, so I have no idea if they state whether or not severe cold stops walkers. It's just my assuption.

  • Dep Symbol so dep.

  • well everyone saying that the town they are going to, on top of the mountain (sorry I can't remember what its called) is empty. to what Matthew was saying a lot of groups went up there. So the skeleton could be one of those people. I doubt that there isn't any food up there plus the really cold conditions not a lot of people would survive.

  • It's a generic walker that tricked a lot of players that it's Lee. Maybe Clementine will walk by it in Episode 5? Or it could just be on the slide to symbolize the cold and grim themes in the episode itself.

  • i think it's just a walker.

It actually kind of looks like Ben, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't snow in Savannah and/or the Crawford building is still standing.

  • Heh, I guess I was right?

It was just a generic walker meant to envoke feelings of dread

  • Here's one thing that still isn't answered about the slide...

That city you can see in the background is never featured in the episode, I originally thought that would have been Wellington but Wellington looked nothing like that.

  • Its not like the slides past episode 2 matched anything in the actual episodes anyway
