  • Not sure how I feel about Bonnie and Mike though...

I'm surprised at how much I cried at the "Kenny leaving" ending. I mean, damn, it was gut-wrenching and heart-breaking. I'm almost confused how I was sadder than Lee's death.

I was sad when Luke and Jane died. And I cried when I saw Kenny's determinant death.

  • They're both dead for me. Traitors. Sure, Kenny and Jane aren't perfect, but they stayed with you until the bitter end. I can't say the same about these fuckers.

He was emotional. I couldn't leave him alone just to he with a bunch of strangers.

  • I just watched alternate endings. Kenny, Clem, and AJ together was my ending.

And Mike? Fuck him. He's dead to me. Fuck Arvo. I just don't know...don't know about Bonnie. Maybe I should just let her go.

    But I am, overall, just pissed and dead inside. Pissed about Eddie and dead inside from the feels. ;-;

  • It's just really emotional for me, because we're not getting closure. He's not being heroic either. He's just...gone.

I mean...he gave his hat up to Clem for AJ to wear when he was older. They were both crying...and he told the woman at Wellington, Edith, to look after her. And then he said he's gonna walk away now...and never look back. And then he just...walks away.

Watch it for yourself; please. See if you get the feels.

  • Whenever I make decisions I try to go with my gut, and play from the heart. In the end I looked away as Kenny stabbed Jane, then when we got to Wellington I just couldn't leave Kenny behind, so the 3 of us faced whatever's to come together.

  • Fan effin tastic!

That ending sequence was really hard. I loved the character of Kenny so much, but I knew he went off to the point of no return so I killed him. Than I found out that Jane was also insane, so I left here and got the alone ending. People say that was the weakest one, but I loved it. I'm just more happy they had 5 alternative endings.

So what now, a year and a half wait until Season 3....? Oh boy

I also had the same idea. I didn't pause. I waited until the counter was up until shooting him, and I whispered "I'm sorry Kenny" right before shooting.

It's not a "weak" ending, but it does cut the episode shorter and I did feel the ending was less emotional than the first season's.

Then again I just did my second playthough and let Kenny kill Jane, then stayed with him after reaching Wellington.

That ending is quite hopeful, as you're told that maybe Wellington would take us in a few months down the line. To top it off Edith gives 2 bags of supplies, so that'll enable Clem and Kenny to last a while.

  • I bawled my eyes out when I chose that option. The dark atmosphere combined with Dave Fennoy's soothing voice saying that foreshadowing line was simply too much to bear after everything that happened to Lee and Clementine over these two seasons.

Nick Breckon, in my eyes, you've completely fixed the season.

    The scene that REALLY got to me was at the end of that dream with Lee. Lee: What can I tell you to make it better? Clem: That you won't leave me. Lee: Oh, I wouldn't do that. I promise. ;___;

I did some research. It depends on your decision with Luke. If you didn't help him Bonnie hates you for the rest of the episode. It's funny,

Bonnie seriously pissed me off. Luke had only fallen in up to his waist, his vital organs were up out of the water. He is young and strong, and with effort and a bit of luck, he probably could have managed to get out of the hole... unless some dumb bitch gets too close on the weakened ice and they both fall through.... (coughs)

If she really wanted to help, she should have thrown him something and used that to haul him out. A rope, the end of a branch, even a spare pair of pants (throw him an ankle-part of one leg and hold the other ankle in your hand, using that as a makeshift rope, would have been better. Anything she could have used that would have involved staying away from the hole would have been far better than going over there. That's why I didn't go over there near the hole myself. Even at Clem's weight, I considered it too much of a risk.

But no, Bonnie goes over there like a dumbass, resulting in both she and Luke falling through. I nearly died myself trying to rescue Luke after this, when he was under the ice, and then Bonnie has the nerve to blame me? Seriously, wtf?

At that point, I realized fully and completely what I was dealing with. Flirting with another woman's (obviously spoken for) man in 400 days, gets in a group of survivors, abandons that group to run away with a stranger (Tavia), because the stranger says she's got a group she's recruiting for. Gets in that group, considers running away with Luke but decides against it... Carver was a psycho, but they lived fairly comfortably. Helps Carver track them down, comes up to where Kenny and the cabin group are later, lies and leads Carver to them. Stands guard with an assault rifle while Carver tortures Carlos. Realizes there's "something different" (leadership potential) in Clem and tries to kiss her ass to get on her good side, as well. Chooses to leave Carver's group, when the place is being threatened by a horde of walkers. I could go on, but I won't. Her blood might be clean, but at heart, she's still a junkie. A crass, selfish opportunist who will do whatever she can to get whatever the hell she wants, no matter who it hurts, no matter who she has to backstab to get it, and who will stand there smiling and telling everyone whatever the hell they want to hear... well, so long as they're of use to her and nothing more convenient come along yet, and if it has, adios sucker. :P

I wasn't in the least surprised to see her, Mike, and Arvo sneaking off with our supplies, in effect condemning Jane, Kenny, myself, and the baby to starvation in the winter cold. This is what is more convenient to her now, morality be damned, decency be damned. Ugh.

    Actually 6 endings.

    1. Kill Kenny, leave Jane
    2. Kill Kenny, with Jane, let family join
    3. Kill Kenny, with Jane, sent family away
    4. Jane dies, Go to Wellington, Clem and AJ stay in Wellington
    5. Jane dies, go to Wellington, Clem and AJ stay with Kenny
    6. Jane dies, you shoot Kenny at the car, You and AJ walk towards a herd while covered in walker guts.
  • I don't exactly remember...she says something along the lines of that she wanted to show Clementine his true colors, and you have the option to say "You're fucking crazy!"

    What does she say?

  • He wasn't being shoved down our throats as a hero or being portrayed as a hopeless cretin. He was being himself this time around. Just a genuinely good guy you want to be around.

That's what you get when you put the episode in the hands of a competent writer like Breckon.
''But Pierre Shorette wrote it too''
Yeah, but I still haven't forgiven him for episode 3, but this is a good way to start making up for it. Have him and Breckon team up and they've got season 1 quality story telling.

  • If they had at least left us a bag. I will not forgive them.

Nick did a great job cleaning other writers' mess. The finale was great. I now think of Season 2 as more than just above average. It's step by step, though.

After that Lee Dream, I just don't buy that:

"A bullet went right through you ,near your hearth region, Clementine, you're okay! Now let's argue!"

Is it even possible to survive that shoot?

  • The fact that they managed to put character development for five characters in one episode is nothing new. Remember 400 Days? The fact that they managed to do so with the shit from the previous episodes is a goddamn miracle from on high, presented by Jesus Christ himself.

  • I loved the campfire part, i was laughing... then i realized everyone will die, then I got sad and enjoyed my last moments with them.

  • A few things here I'm surprised doesn't come up in all these convos.

    1) I chose to cover Luke on the lake; when I did I shot all the walkers and then Bonnie and Luke both go into the lake dead. I shot the lake when he started pounding from below then i started smacking it until kenny tells me to stop because I don't want to go in with him.
    A) So Bonnie isn't with Mike when he leaves with Arvo (taking all the supplies and shooting clem)

    2) Mike was always stopping to talk to Arvo, at the transformer station and when they got to the house he always was trying to talk to and protect Arvo when it seemed to me that Arvo was trying to lead the group into bad situations.
    A) This makes me think that Mike actually had conspired with Arvo when they talked together and Mike actually planned to leave the group while they were talking (so Mike is basically a dirtbag leaving with all of the supplies a little girl and a baby to help out a crippled guy?)

It wasn't really near the heart - she got shot in the left shoulder. from the position, no bones were hit. it's a "designated good guy area" for gunshot wounds in movies and cartoons :)

She was surprisingly unfazed afterwards in the car, though. It was okay afterwards, but she shouldn't have been able to raise her arm to shoot. The pain would have been unbearable.

  • Indeed. Previously he was either the bland nice guy (1-2) or a complete retard (3-4). They actually made him a person in the latest episode. I think Pierre wanted to make Luke fallible in ep3, but he made him too fallible without any redeeming qualities. He did that here too, but Breckon helped roll that back and couple it with the nice guy nature to make an actual character.
