*SPOILERS* Why I think Clem's Story would Be good if it ended here. OPINION
Wow. This finale was very good. I didn't cry, since I was seriously exhausted, but I was pretty upset over character's deaths and other characters decisions. In my opinion, it topped Season 1 finale. I felt like this ending was actually hopeful if you choose a certain ending. So like, two out of the three endings seemed to be very hopeful, like we can have a moment of safety and security... A feeling we haven't had throughout most of Season 2.
And that's why I think Clem's story might and probably should end here.
With all the different endings we can get, so many choices and so many people with us or gone... It would be pretty hard for TellTale to pull off having Clem as a Season 3 Protagonist. It's possible, but they would either have several different possibilities (And storylines leading to the same conclusion, kinda making any decision you make for Clem's future pointless), or we will have a sort of default setting that will bring us to the new Clem or whomever is the protagonist.
In all the endings I can see it being the end of Clem's time in the Walking Dead. Not the end of her, but the end of us playing as her. She showed so much character development in this episode, and we had SOOO many choices to choose from regarding who she will become, I really could see this being as such that TellTale was letting us have this much influence, to ultimately mold her into the person she will become without our influence anymore.
I love Clem dearly, and one of the characters that survived with her. (Look at my icon if you are guessing who it might be...) And I would honestly, be totally fine with the ending I choose for her. There was hope in it. Their was a sense of finality in my opinion. Of course I'd be okay with playing as Clem again in Season 3, I just really like how my Clem's story was left off. It actually made me feel good.
Did anyone else feel this way about the ending they choose for their Clem? Or am I the only one content with their being a new Protagonist for Season 3?
Comments
I don't think it's hard for Clem to be the protangonist. I think the endings can be "dealt with" pretty early on in episode 1 next season.
I really liked the way they did the endings this time around. I too am fine with this being the end of Clem's tale, and with a new protagonist in Season 3.
That said, I would really like if Season 3 starts when Christa and Clem get seperated with Christa as the main character.
We need story on AJ or maybe a continuation of 400 Days in someway
The way I see it, is that they were all so vastly different. Kenny = Wellington. Jane = Carvers Camp. Alone Clem = Unknown (with multiple possibilities).
I just think that if we have Clem be protagonist of Season 3, it would be a default of Clem being back on the road as a traveling Survivor. So, to me, that says that not matter what you choose for Clem and AJ, Clem ended up traveling again.
At least in the Kenny ending there was the whole "Check back in a few months and we might have some spots." And in my head, Clem and Kenny do just that. They were together, and I think they were happy.
Damn double post. Sorry!
yeah
I think they can end up in the same outcome..
I think it's a possibility that all three lead to some decision to try to find Christa for whatever reason. I think it all leads to Clementine being a travelling survivor, in my opinion of course.
I would like to play as Clementine in season 3 maybe in the new story she sets off to find Christa.
