Gavin Hammon Needs an Award

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

(Spoilers in the video)

Outstanding performance right here. Just awesome. He really brought Kenny to life with his voice. Kenny's whole performance throughout both seasons was amazing, but this last scene right here was moving and made you understand Kenny's true character better. Don't get me wrong, Melissa Hutchinson's performance as Clem is fantastic as well, but I thought this scene with Kenny just really showed off how greatly he was acted. Gavin Hammon and Melissa Hutchinson should be in more video games. I look forward to seeing them play more characters in the future!

  • i agree this is by far the best ending out of the 4 (i think there is 4?) gavin did a great job!

  • Agreed, especially in the Wellington endings, I didn't cry but he brought me the closest to crying I've ever been in TWD.

  • I believe there are five endings, but I'm not sure.

  • Him and Melissa. They are both just too perfect and hit all the emotions just right in this episode. It's the most exquisite form of art and they both got my highest praise for video game voice actors after two seasons of TWDG.

  • Alright. Thanks for confirming!

  • Makes that whole "It's Beauty And Beast!" Answering machine message even more strange know looking back. lol They've now played a protector and child matching, and as a couple that's been married for hundreds of years.

  • That Wellington ending.

    I cried.

    I haven't cried since Lee died ;-;

  • I've seen this ending a good 3-4 times now, and each time I cry. Just... My God, they really breathed life into their characters. Fantastic performance. One of the finest scenes that was brought to life by two of the finest VA's.

  • Those endings with Kenny were so emotional and sad. when he told her to take the kids instead it made me cry.

  • Kenny really shined in this episode.

    The part where he gave Clem the hat was really sad.

    It was an Oscar worthy performance. I didn't even know that much emotion could be conveyed through a video game character's voice. Just goes to show how talented both Gavin Hammon and Melissa Hutchinson are. They deserve a shrine!

  • His speech was tear-enducing
