Wow, the Luke hate has died down hasn't it?
It's almost like he didn't deserve to be loathed so strongly.
Most Luke hate from the remnants of the KDB has been transferred to be against Jane, but oh well, they can't stop us doing what we feel is right.

Nah i still hate Luke, I only offered to save his life because that is one shitty way to go (falling on the ice) and because I like Bonnie.
(also how in the world do walkers know how to swim?)
Long live Luke, I will fight to keep his name alive. RIP.
My perfect ending would have been Jane + Luke + Clem + AJ at Howe's. That would have been amazing.
I always loved Lukey. But his death ... that death can make a Luke Hater to Luke FanBoy![:( :(](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
I don't really see how one can 'hate' him though. Like he apologised for fucking up, he feels partly responsible for the deaths of all the cabin group, which he had nothing to do with for the most part, and he tells Clem that he would return to the group just for her. Like, he clearly cares about her.
Right at the end he tells clem not to go near him in case she falls in too. Which is admirable, no?
I'm glad the hate has died down he never deserved it, and in my opinion he was the 'breakthrough star' of episode 5 he died a heroes death protecting Clem, I think that makes up for anything he did wrong in the past:)
I never hated him and I can't understand how people can be glad after he died. He was a very good man and I wish he didn't die.
I don´t understand, why some folks hate(d) him. He didn't do anything that horrible to deserve it. He was genuine good person through and through.
I'm glad the hate has died down now. I should think so too! He did nothing to deserve the hate in the first place and certainly didn't deserve to die! He was my favourite of all series 2 characters (Anyone else notice he was introduced in episode 1 and bowed out in episode 5 just like another lovable guy we know who also happens to have a name beginning in L and ending in E?) Yeah he made a few mistakes but who hasn't?
My perfect ending would have been Clem going to Wellington (in hopes of finding Christa) with Luke, Mike and Bonnie and I don't even get to get with ONE of them! =/
The KDB hated him because he was in opposition to Kenny. Now they have turned that hate towards Jane, of course.
Same here it got really annoying and then really old. He died an awful way even though it was heroic (if you help him). I'm just glad a lot of people aren't hating on him anymore. Now he can finally RIP (in the forums...probably)
People hate on things when the story is not even half way done, and I just take it as it is, i don't hate on any characters.
You're right, they're too busy keeping their hate afloat from one ship to another.
Ah yeah I agree, RIPLuke you were a great guy!
Because his writing in episode 4 was awful, and that small "oh no my friends died" in episode 5 was hardly much. I also don't think he should have been taking his little relationship with Jane so lightheartedly when it caused everyone's death.
Admirable? Does he want a cookie for telling us what we can and can't do. That's kind of basic human decency.
I was sad to see Luke die, Atleast Cluke died too....
I don't think it was it. At least not for me, i disliked him cause he fucked jane and didn't give a shit about nick
But on that episode, i saw that he was just... ashamed of telling others what he felt.
Damn... RIP Luke.
I never understood why so many people hated him so much. I was upset with him after episode 4, but honestly there are characters that have fucked up in way worse ways, and yet a lot of people really like those characters, namely Ben and Lilly. I have to say that I think even Stevie Wonder saw a death on the ice coming, and as soon as the ice cracked under Luke I knew what was going to happen, but I was still shocked it was going to be him. I chose to cover him because I thought it was the smarter option, and then I almost died trying to save him. I had just told him I'd go back for him and I was serious. Seeing him banging on the ice and then lifelessly drowned was tough.
The finale was a lot more emotional than episodes 3 and 4 combined for me. I actually wouldn't have played the episode if I didn't have the season pass, based on how lame I thought 3 and 4 were, but I'm glad I did play it. The finale was so good it makes me wonder what happened with 3 and 4. I assume there were different writers for those episodes.
You know I was part of that Luke hate, but as time progressed I actually started to like him and surprising enough I found myself being a little bummed by his death. He came on too strong at the beginning, but telltale sort of mellowed him out as the story progressed and I began seeing him as just a simple guy and not "Lee's replacement" Compared to every character from this season I don't find him to be my favorite, but I feel like he had the most development as a character. So no more Luke hate for me; he's cool, he's cool.
The hates gone because he died
I actually thought it was sweet how the actual Kenny turned around his opinion on Luke too. After Luke died, Kenny was genuinely upset (He says "God dammit...God DAMMIT!" as he paces around) and then he took it out on Arvo ("You son of a bitch. This is your fuckin' fault!") Then later when Clem says to Kenny, "You shouldn't have done that to Arvo," he says, "I know. I know Clem, but Luke..."
Not to mention it was sweet how Kenny was poking fun at Luke during the campfire scene too. Like when Luke says, "Majored in art history!" and Kenny jokes, saying something like, "Sounds more like a degree for working in a coffee shop," and they both chuckle about it.
Sigh Kenny and Luke were starting to get along again, which is what I wanted. Goddammit why did Luke have to die?![:'( :'(](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/cry.png)
Clem's sidekick doesn't mean Lee replacement. It just means co star of S2. I wonder if haters ruined that and changed his role though
I didn't see him as a side kick or co-star, still don't. I just found him to be a bit aggressive in trying to get Clem to like him. That was my reason for disliking him, I don't know why everyone else did. But as I said he mellowed out, and I'm fine with him.
Any Luke hate in the first place was stupid. He was one of the best new characters in season 2, personality wise and in general he was a good guy. He made one mistake in ep4 and people started drooling at their chance to hate on him now that they had a 'reason'.
Really sucks that he died right near the end. If we had got the option that we thought we would, to go with Luke or Kenny, I honestly don't know who I might have picked...and considering Kenny's my bro, that's saying a lot.
Clenny is still alive though![:/ :/](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/confused.png)
It was kind of strong back then, but it seemed like he was. He's directly under Clem's name in the credits, the others are alphabetical yet not theirs, like Lee and Clem in S1. Luke is also on most of the promotional material for S2. I think him mellowing out was good but it also focused so little on him till Ep5 he only felt like a main character in Eps 1, 2 and 5 though
Also Adapting and Comprehending that most people end up not making it, so Hating is like, Meh, just enjoy the character and wait for the story to finish.
Not to be mean, but it's like people are autistic with autism, takes time for people to learn and realize how the story has always been going, and later, forgets and complains when it already came to pass.
Not everyone will make it, not everyone will be likable, not every likable character will make it.
Learn, Adept, so we have nothing to hate on.
I like Luke,he makes mistakes, we all do, So in Empiricism, we hating ourselves, because we are no better or worse, can't hate on someone unless he is more successful and passionate than us, hate comes from Personal jealousy,
Um, really? If you try to save Luke, Luke almost begs you not to come near him, he's afraid that Clem might die, and to some degree he saves Clem from being eaten underwater, no Luke wasn't perfect, but he didn't want anyone to get hurt or killed in that situation, so yeah I think that's a little admirable. Gee, I guess everything that Lee told what Clementine can and can't do isn't very admirable, is it?
