Kind of funny how...
The Stranger, who was the big bad of S1 pretty much, turned out to be the lesser evil of all the other really notable antagonists. I mean, we've had:
-The St. Johns, who ate people and cut off Mark's legs;
-The Save-Lots Bandits, who were all terrible people;
-Vernon and his group, who steal the best way out of Savannah from the group;
-Carver... do I even have to explain this one?;
-Arvo, who shoots Clem even if she was nice to him;
-Mike and Bonnie, who attempt to leave Kenny, Clem and AJ to die.
So, yeah. Sure, Stranger was crazy but he wasn't a real monster. He never got to kill or hurt anyone directly and was, in his own twisted reality, just trying to rescue a little girl from a cold blooded murderer.

You Sir are very right. I always was on Kenny's side and still am, but I chose to leave him behind, my Clementine starting to understand that some things can not be forgiven. Though wish I stick with him for a little longer, didn't get a chance to see Wellington...
