The real reason why Luke died was because of Lexi Porter shipping Clem and Luke together.
People also leaked the old choices and posted them everywhere, people like Lexi Porter kept posting her shit every where..... So Telltale found out about this, changed the choices, and Luke died.... The original choice was to leave with Kenny or leave with Luke, Luke was not suppose to die
There was also a scene earlier that got cut out from the episode,where the player is able to save him from drowning by pulling him out,thus making him determinant but because of lexi and this cluke bullshit looks like they just wanted to kill luke to end all this nonsense and disrespecting people on the forums and crap. Really sucks,I liked Luke.He was like the Rick grimes of the videogame

I think it was pretty obvious who the players were going to choose as well. I actively disliked Jane as much as I could through Clem's dialogue. I had no attatchment to Jane. I would've balled my eyes out if it had been a Luke v. Kenny thing, even though I would've chosen Luke. But in the end, Kenny was the best choice. IMO.

It would of made the decision a lot harder for me, i liked Luke.
I think telltale killed him because they thought they needed the group to fall apart and as soon as Luke dies the group falls apart if Luke was alive he could have stopped everyone from turning on eachother also Kenny wouldn't have had a reason to beat up Arvo which led to the group falling apart, I really didn't want Luke to die though, I wish there could have been another way
I liked Luke but I still would have chosen Kenny.... but Luke vs Kenny made way more sense...

It's really a matter of preference. There is no right or wrong answer with Luke v. Kenny.
I wish they'd bring that determinate in via patch. Aye they won't and they must have their reasons but knowing that was a choice is just ugh
Well Kenny is the spitting image of my best friend, so its hard to be non biased. I like Luke he is Mr. Nice Guy.
Tbh i'm glad they put it Kenny vs Jane, it made the decision to kill Jane so much easier.

I agree. On them making it Kenny v. Jane. I never like her. I didn't even grab the gun, because eventually Kenny will just kill her.
I love Kenny and Luke dearly, like, more so than almost all other video game characters I've ever seen. Lee is above them however.
But the thing was, it WAS preference. I don't think there was a right of wrong answer with them.
And Kenny is the spitting image of my own step-father who's raised me for 18 years. It hit really close to home in this episode. In the end, leaving Kenny would've literally been like leaving my own step-father. I absolutely could never do it after what happened in this episode.
Luke was just a good guy, and honestly, the best option for Clem and the baby. Luke was still fairly in tact, and unbroken, just really damaged. But, who isn't at this point? Kenny is on edge, but he saned up A LOT since the end of episode 4.

Anyways, uh, Telltale fixed the whole "choices being leaked" thing before the 5th episode came out. If any of those choices that were leaked were real, Telltale would either:
1- DELAY THE RELEASE DATE. You can't just change the script in a few days. That would make months of their work null and void. OR, they would...
2- Say "fuck it" and keep the script. That's what they did with Amid the Ruins, after all.
And second of all, blaming this on Lexi Porter is laughably dumb. Do you really think all the bigwigs at Telltale gathered around a table like "Gentleman, clearly we must kill off Luke to do away with this wretched Lexi Porter"? I doubt they even know who she is.
A very young girl who thinks shipping an eleven year old with a 27 year old is cute and romantic. She doesn't just post it every place, she is also extremely judgmental and insults anyone who disagrees with Cluke.

I picked up the gun, then when i saw the option to shoot Kenny, I laughed out loud, put down my controller and took a swig of mountain dew, waiting for the finality.
Well, I think it kinda worked better this way. I don't see Luke being the kind of guy who would let things get to the point they did between Jane and Kenny. He was too good to make Clem go through that.

I think if Telltale actually killed Luke off for this reason I would lose a HELL of a lot more respect for them than for whoever the fuck Lexi Porter is. Moreso than when I lost respect for the way they handled Sarah's death and the subsequent handling of discussions of her character.
