There is not Right or Wrong. Just OUR Preference
Listen peeps, we can argue all day about Pizza v. Ice Cream, or in our literal case, MONTHS about it, but here's the deal.
This whole Season 2 Ending was a matter of OUR/OR CLEM'S preference.
We can argue all the time about Luke v. Kenny, or Jane v. Kenny, or Bonnie and Mike v. Kenny and Luke. We can argue about everything. But here's the deal.
The ending we choose, is OUR preference. Could you imagine if there was one singular ending like there was in season 1? Lee dying, and Clem being on her own. We had no idea (but thought it to be Omid and Christa and it was) what was actually gonna happen to Clem. Could you imagine if Season 2 had one singular ending? When we'd be forced with only one ending?
In our endings we choose, we have more of a sense of finality than in Season 1.
And another thing, it's the zombie apocalypse. Things will never be the same, nowhere is going to be 100% safe, and going with who ever we choose, we're still going to be in danger, and for different reasons.
So, lets just agree to disagree, and realize that everyone is different, and everyone has their preference of what they'd want, for themselves, or for Clem.
And me personally, I'm thankful we got to choose from so many different endings. I actually smiled, and felt SOOOOOO happy at my ending. I felt it was actually hopeful. Thank you TellTale for letting us choose from so many different endings.

Well yeah, but people will always feel their truth is superior to other people's truth. That's just how people work, man.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with ya. I'm just saying that it's hard to convince people of this.
The writers will determine what is canon sooon enoooough. I've learned this as a Bioware fan.
I know, but with how many endings we were given, I can't really think there was anything right of wrong that was 100% right or 100% wrong. It was all grey to me.
People arguing one was right over the other and thinking they're superior is just how people work. I do the same thing. But in this whole series, it's just always felt like there was no right or wrong.
People really need to learn how to trust their gut feeling because this game is supposed to make you choose decisions at the moment, not really to choose something else because you regretted it. The only counterargument would be to choose a different choice to see what would happen.
"There is nothing more terrifying than someone who believes they are right"
That's my stance on things.
I spoiled the game for myself, and watched a stream on Tuesday morning with the Jane ending. I was so upset. I just had a dreadful feeling in my heart about it. I felt like it was just the perfect allegory of Clem becoming the next Carver. I know we choose who she becomes, but how ironic is it that we go back to the same place Carver was, and ultimately made a decision on the family to come in or not? I felt like Clem was already establishing her rule in this choice.
After watching the Kenny ending, I was so happy. I was actually smiling at the end. I was depressed in Season 1 ending, despite being with Omid and Christa.
But, someone could argue my case and say they get a bad feeling in their gut about the Kenny ending. And Jane was the safer choice. Again, it's just whatever someone wants, not what's right or wrong. But people have turned it into exactly that.
Could not agree more.
Good quote, but how can we be sure of anything then now?![D: D:](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/anguished.png)
I'm glad someone else thinks so too.![:) :)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I typed out a long reply to this, but it didn't go through, so I'll shorten what I said.
True that, man. True that.
Maybe if you rephrased it, it would make more sense to meeeee
Basically, I meant that it's a terrifying prospect when people think they're right. Wars were fought over which religions, which civilisations, who deserved what, and all because both sides thought their truth was right, and that everyone should agree. So someone believing they are right is terrifying.
Well, that's what makes us human unfortunately... even today we still have religions fighting each other.
My first play thru I shot Kenny and told Jane I wasn't going anywhere with her crazy ass even though I personally did not want Clem to end up alone with the baby that is just where my choices led me .
Jane manipulated Clem into Killing Kenny to prove a point and endangered the baby to do so n the process.
In my other save file I went with Kenny to Wellington and then then stayed with him when they wouldn't let him in. I am not a huge Kenny fan but given the options I actually enjoyed that ending the most . It just felt right Kenny and Clem why break them up we can check back in a month or so .
Yup no such thing as a right or wrong ending its your clem rewind pick what ending you want stick with your first playthrough choices its all up to you ill have at least 3 endings from season 2 by the time the 3rd season drops will rewind the last ep do the ending different and some day soon ill get a load of devils lettuce and play season1&2 again right the way threw with another ending. People play and see games differently the storys not real life so why not rewind if choices you made dont suit you in hindsight its a game i have to makes choices i cant change after all we all love this game so people need to stop hating because mr x plays different to mr y or because your fav charater might be hated by the nxt person
Every ending will end up with the same story in season 3 clem on the run from walkers and other survivers otherwise there would be a game im a big clem fanboy but wouldnt want to play as her all happy ina camp having teenage girl problems ha much rather the life or death apcolypse problems from the last two seasons wot my trying to say is its only the end of the series 2 no clems story altogether so its not an ending at all mearly an interlude
To be fair, we could put two atheists in a room and they'd find something to fight about sooner or later that's not related to religion or spirituality.
But like you said, it's what makes us human.
History is the story of civilizations falling and rising, and people need to realize that this is all only temporary, this world we live in now could go to complete shit any minute now. The Walking Dead is the perfect example of that, and despite our hardships and losing faith in God, ourselves, and others, that's just the human experience. We have to move on, it's just our nature.
Yup, I agree.![:) :)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I think this is the end of Clem's story. With this many endings, it's just a slap in the face to make a Season 3 that has a certain beginning. It would mean that no matter what happens, (Meaning no matter what we do) the choices we made were irrelevant.
If we choose Jane ending we could see Clem become the new leader of a camp with her happy ever after.
If we choose Kenny ending we could see Clem and Kenny and AJ all making it to Wellington with their happy ever after.
If we choose to go alone, it's far more ambiguous and would be most open to a season 3.
And this is what makes us special because we could actually change that.
Check out the vid on ign talking dead i think its called the two host are talking to two devs off the game and they say they gave the season so many ending because it fit and they donnt mind the extra work they will have to do to make everyone ending work in the start of season 3 so more than likely we wont all get the same start to season 3
