I just realized Luke is the only character besides AJ (who gets a pass because he's a baby) that wasn't an asshole or suddenly became an asshole in this episode. Figures.
Yep... it's obvious to me he would've been the best choice for Clem as far as having a new protector. But, it was too good to be true. Luke had to go, he was just a red shirt. LITERALLY. (Star Trek Joke.)

She was only trying to help. She had really awful judgement though. After Luke went under I chose not to break the ice because, realistically, that would have just been suicide.
Yeah, pretty much. Besides, Kenny blames Clem even if she doesn't cut Sarita's arm off. And Bonnie wasn't responsible for Luke's death at all if Clem tried to help him, much like how Clem's only responsible for Sarita if she cut her arm off.
And while it's great that Kenny would never leave Clem, my problem is that he sure as hell doesn't care about any of my Clem's friends.
Also, he abandoned Clem once in the herd at the start of Episode 4. And once in Savannah if he didn't like Lee. People just hate Bonnie and like Kenny entirely because of what they were doing when they were last seen, and don't take into account what they were like before or what good they did in the past. Bonnie and Kenny are both good people, we've seen that with how Kenny took the beating from Carver, with how Bonnie risked her life to betray Carver, and even when she tried to help Luke on the lake.
I think we're comparing how Bonnie and Kenny reacted to Clem. Like, how Bonnie started talking to you like you'd get off scotch free from Lu… moreke's death, even though she will blame you. Bonnie blamed us for Luke dying, and Kenny blamed us initially for Sarita dying. In the end though, Kenny would NEVER leave Clem to fend for herself. Him wanted her to get into Wellington was him trying to do what was best for them, not because he didn't care about living anymore. He put Clem and AJ above himself IMO.
I know right? I don't know why she freaked out like she did. We killed all the walkers. All Luke had to do was climb out. She ran over there when she knew the ice couldn't hold her.
Then again, Bonnie doesn't seem to know what she's thinking half of the time.
Yep, I saw Bonnie going over I was just like "oh... no..."
But was I the only one who pissed the choice was labeled "Did you help Luke?" No, I helped Luke, I just wanted to keep zombies off him and not break the ice LIKE HE TOLD ME TO!
Yeah, and then Bonnie gave me shit later... Then abandoned the group. Fuck Bonnie.
I understand her wanting to help, I have stated that if it had been me personally, as in I was actually in Clem's position, I would've been irrational and tried to save them too, despite my own safety. What bothers me is her BLAMING YOU if you tried to cover him. When she is the one who went to the edge and broke the ice.

It was the more rational thing to do was shoot the Walkers. They were going to get close, and if they did he'd either be bitten, or the ice was REALLY going to start cracking.
But yes, it WAS helping Luke, no matter what you did.
Yep, fuck Bonnie, she was going to take all the supplies, and leave Clem to die after being shot. I really hate her.

Hey ho, she dies if you never directly try rescuing Luke, and nobody blames you for it (apart from Arvo I guess). Sounds awful because Luke was always so nice to Clem, but we can't magically tell Bonnie to just let him climb out on his own

If you choose to help Luke out of the water, his death is much fucking sadder. He gets a walker for Clementine, and that walker drags him down to his death... ... Luke. Shit way to go bro...
So what, are walkers like fishes now since they can't drown?
I'm not a Obama supporter in the least, but... I don't really know what he had to do with this particularly. Unless he made an executive order for TellTale to kill Luke. In which case.
To be honest, I understand the fear that everyone felt towards Kenny. I was scared of him too after Ep. 2 of this season.
TBH, the reason why I will stick up for Kenny and be on his side, is because he is like my dad. Like, eerily so, they're incredibly similar. So, it's easier for me to understand his actions and still be able to tolerate him for them. But I DO NOT condone all his actions. I think people sometimes assume that just because you like someone, you stick up for everything they do. I definitely didn't, I hated Kenny in EP. 4. Like, wanted to leave him or have him die.

If you fall in the water with him it is the saddest death scene ever. I'm pissed though that the zombie dragged him down. 1) A reanimated corpse should have been slooooooooooow in that weather. 2) Why didn't it float??? It just seemed like such a stretch the walker could drag him down like that. I hated Bonnie so much after that scene (I helped Luke first, then immediately saved and covered, hoping it would save him).

Apparently Bonnie doesn't seem to take into mind the fact that we're an 11-year-old girl. How would we be able to help save Luke, both before and after he broke through the ice? He's a 27-year-old man, there's no way we'd have the strength to help him.
Luke's death is traumatizing. Drowning is known to be one of the most painful ways to die. Add him panicking and trying desperately to save himself while suffocating.
If you help him, he gets a more heroic death. It's heartbreaking though when Clementine walks towards him and he's silently begging her to go away, to not come any closer. Oh no, I'm making myself sad again.
She just basically says it's on you that he died, because you wouldn't help him. Even though he died because she walked towards him and broke the ice.
It might not be as anger invoking to other people, but as I started to think about Bonnie, we had a lot of things we could pin blame on her for. She had absolutely no right to berate my Clem. ):<
I was hoping to hear from you. I know how much you've always spoken in defense of Luke, and loved him. I was thinking of you when he died, I was hoping you'd be okay. Hoping you're not thinking I'm a creeper now. XD
I thought as two different people to be honest. I knew Clem couldn't bring him up, and it was smarter to kill the Walkers who would break the ice. Me personally, I would've immediately went to help pull him up. I would've jumped in after him.

You'll walk up to her as she smokes a cigarette and she'll say "what do you want?". She'll then snidely say that it must be nice "being a pretty little girl since nobody expects you to do anything". She barely gives you a chance to defend yourself before she gets up and says that you could have saved him.

Yup, I agree.
I wish it was a choice between Luke, Jane, and Kenny. I would have went with Luke ='(.
Stole my pic bitch
Jk lol
Me. Too.

well, luke could've live if he wasnt shot in the leg by one of the russians.
He looks like he wants to make out IMO. Close dat mouth Luke, now ain't the time for that.

I blame Obama.
Love makes you do stupid/crazy/irrational things. I would've done the same... tbh. But I was more pissed she tried to blame Clem more than anything.
I told him not to move! But the dumbass just had to play hero. Now you're dead Luke...

Assuming. But BenPaul started a thread about it, so I wouldn't say it's not possible, just... idk. But if she is responsible, I'm heartbroken.
The statue of LUKERTY.

After this episode, I'm really desappointed with her...
Double post ahh
Putting a blame on someone else, Clem is accostumed to that
this face looks perfect for the "U MAD BRO?" memes poor Luke
