Were you content with your ending?

The fight between Jane and Kenny was really hard on me since they were my two favorite people in the group at the start of episode 5. In the end, I shot Kenny, because I felt that he'd been wanting to die for quite awhile, and he even agreed I made the right choice. I also didn't forgive Jane, I know that practically everyone did, and I feel really bad about, but when I think about it, everyone got what they wanted. Kenny wanted to die and Jane wanted to see Clementine become independent. What's more independent then a little girl raising a baby all on her own? Lol. But all in all, I think the ending where you forgive Jane and except the family is the happiest ending, but since I'm stubborn, I didn't want Jane's actions to go unpunished, and if she truly wanted to be with Clem she would have tagged along anyway. Deep down, I feel like going with either of them would of been a mistake, Kenny was messed up and old and Jane was a loner who couldn't deal with tough situations.
I think the saddest ending is when you leave Kenny and you go into Wellington alone with AJ. You just see how selfless Kenny is, even after everyone said he lost his mind he still wanted was best for the kids, and isn't that a sane thing to do? Everyone is thinking about themselves and all Kenny really wanted was for AJ to be happy and alive. Either way though, all the endings were sad, I never cried over a game before. I didn't even cry when Lee died, but this episode just pacts all the emotion in XD So, were you happy with your ending? What ending did you like the most and/or least?

  • I think the happiest ending was Kenny and Clem reaching Wellington then Clem refusing to leave Kenny ;-;

  • I can't decide if I'm happy with my ending or not! I did exactly what you did - I shot Kenny (a last second decision), even though I have been Kenny's biggest fan the whole way through. But when he was on Jane, he looked so far gone. When I found out Jane was lying, I was so mad, I left her alone. I'm really sad with what happened concerning everyone, especially Kenny, but I can't help but feel it is the best ending too?

It's the most poetic. Kenny had to die. He'd become the tragic hero of the series, and the tragic hero ALWAYS dies. I'll miss him like hell in Season 3 though. I've no regrets leaving Jane. She tricked me into killing Kenny, to suit her own agenda.

Now the big question is... do I go back and save Kenny...

  • No that's the saddest!

  • I totally agree with you, when he gave AJ his hat I bawled.

  • I loved my ending(Kenny, clem and AJ). I thought it was a fitting ending for the journey they had gone on in season 1 and 2. The only other endings I could have felt content with would have been the kill Kenny to save Jane but leave Jane to be on your own and the leave Kenny to stay in wellington. The moment I saw Jane walk in without the baby i knew at that point who i was going to side with for the ending. Jane may have had good intentions but she purposefully got Kenny angry to show a point. Team K all the way.

  • Mine has a bitter sweet ending.

  • This is the ending i got, i don't know what the other endings are.

Kenny wanted Clem to be independent just like Jane did, but she did it the wrong way imo.

Can't be more pleased to see Kenny has succeeded in bringing Clem and AJ to a safe haven, not death was in vain (except Jane, but she was the one to cause her stupid demise).

  • I'm not sure. I did what I felt was right but I don't like the way it turned out. Looking at it none of the choices are good but it is what it is

  • Kenny kept begging me to stay. But never leave friends behind.

I left Wellington with Kenny. Kenny ended up being the only nice character towards the end (unlike season 1 where I liked everyone). Bonnie got Luke killed by getting her fatass over to his weak ice area, then she proceeds to blame me for his death?! I understand Mike wanting to help Arvo, but taking ALL the groups supplies, and leaving half the group, I damn well shot him.

  • I'm happy with being alone but I'm sad how THERE WERE NO CHOICES UGH.

    It was literally a cutscene.

  • 100% content with my ending. Kenny, Clem, and Aj walking of into the sunset for yet another adventure. Team Mustache ftw.

  • I'm happy I did Kenny the favour and shot him, after all the losses he went through and seeing how he couldn't handle it, it was the best choice imo. Of course I forgave Jane, she taught me how to take care of myself and is the best thing that ever happened to me after Lee died.

Oh actually yeah flip that. The saddest one IS leaving Kenny to go to Wellington

  • I think ep 5 beat session 1's ep 5 what do you guys think? :)

  • I like shooting him in the head.

  • Yeah, I would have kind of liked to choose where I was going next but then their would be even more multiple endings and Telltale couldn't handle it lol

  • I'm fairly content with my ending - I looked away and "let" Kenny kill Jane and didn't shoot Kenny but that was mainly for old "loyalties" I was honestly REALLY done with putting up with Kenny. I almost left him but thought it'd be best if Clem had SOMEONE looking out for her. When we got to Wellington though I left Kenny and went to Wellington with AJ.

Even though Kenny didn't act that way the whole way through, if you look at the statistics on the wiki, 52.3% ended the episode with Kenny (including both endings possible with Kenny) so it shows that there was quite a bit of loyalty o Kenny.

Side Note: 36.1% of people ended the season going with Kenny :)

  • My ending was Clem, Kenny, and the baby sticking together. I loved it, it felt the most complete out of all the endings to me.

  • I'm glad, even though I shot him, I still wish him the best. I started this thread to help me decide if I should change my ending or not, Kenny will most likely survive next time I play :)

  • I'm glad you think that way but don't change your main ending. This game is about CHOICE! When you made the choice to shoot Kenny, you had your reasons and your own way of thinking. Don't let that go!

  • Yeah, when I chose to go off on my own I felt that it was for the best, but it is true, how is Clem going to take care of AJ? I kind of wish you got to choose where you go after you head out alone, at least then you'd have some sort of certainty.

  • I wish those that left on their own with AJ had more of a "wrap-up" for their story then just walking away down the road, especially since that was an option I almost picked. Like give you the option to head to Wellington on your own, or go back to that warehouse Jane was talking about...IDK something!

  • I thought the best ending was when Clem and Kenny went their separate ways at Wellington. Not only was really emotional and brought closure to the story, but it also brought closure to Clementine's character. Believe me, if that was the only possible ending you could get and if this was the last episode of the series overall, I'd be satisfied.

When someone gets the "Stay with Kenny" ending on their first try they give zero shits about any other ending and feel no need to defend it.

    It is the Master Ending.
