I'm actually kinda upset that they let us have a happy-ish ending with Kenny or Jane... but not Luke. Especially since there are people who had a great relationship with him all season long.
They kinda did give us the option only none works! i believe he got out of there though telltale owns when throwing surprises

Pulling a Kenny is kinda hard. In one playthrough its possible, he gets pulled down while stille alive.
But in the other he simply drowned. I think its safe to assume he is dead.

I went into the ice to help him, and then both Clem and him fell into the icy water. Clem was about to get grabbed by a walker underwater, but Luke grabbed it from behind to allow Clem to swim up further. When he threw in downwards and tried to swim up, the walker grabbed his foot and dragged him down out of sight. If he did somehow survive, he's one hell of a swimmer.
Don't worry guys...telltale can bring him back right?....right? i mean....it could be possible that he pulled a "Kenny" or something. but this seemed more impossible to get out of....drowning + eaten alive (depends how you TRIED to save him)
But you know what i was most confused about? HOW HE DIDN'T USE HIS DAM MACHETE TO KILL THAT WALKING DRAGGING HIM but then again. I wouldn't be thinking about that while i dont have much air....
