How is Season 3 gonna work?
With all the different endings, how is season 3 of The Walking Dead gonna work. My guess is that there's gonna be a time skip, but then what's the point of all the different endings? What are your thoughts?

New protagonist or a timeskip seem like the only options.
Timeskip where there will be different "versions" of the first Episode which end sadly with Clementine being alone with the baby and a new group of characters. Episode Two-Five carry on but seem different and may have different characters based upon your ending in Season Two. There will also be different mentions on where Clementine has been and such.
I have 2 theories:
1)DLC for season 2 where we will play as Clementine again and this DLC based on ednings will be different for every player and will bring us to the same point in the story. Something like a bridge between season 2 and 3. Different events will lead to same conclusion and same beginning for season 3.
2)If we'll play as Clementine in season 3, like in option number 1, then based on the ending from season 2 we could have different episode 1 of season 3 leading eventually to the same place, same ending for episode 1 and then episode 2 will be the same for everyone.
That's just theories because we could end up with new character but I would be more than happy to see Clementine again and play as her too.
I think there will be a new story with different characters. That's why they went wild with the multiple endings.
That or all the storylines lead to the same path by the end of the first episode.
It's supremely frustrating because the ending where she parts with Kenny in Wellington is the best ending we could ever ask for Clementine. If this were Clem's definitive end, I would be ecstatic about it. But that's just one of the endings. The others are far more open-ended and some are far less satisfying. If I had to rate the endings in terms of emotional closure, it would go:
Let Kenny leave at Wellington - 10/10
Stay with Kenny at Wellington - 9/10
Let family in at Howe's - 7/10
Tell family to leave at Howe's - 6/10
Be alone with AJ - 2/10 <-The one I got on my first playthrough...still pissed about that.
So I guess whether or not I want Clem to be the protagonist in Season 3 hinges on whether I go with my first playthrough or my "revised" playthrough.
It's will be DLC. As a bridge between Season 2 and 3.Lot's of diffrent starts of DLC Episode and One Ending. In Season 3 we probably will play as a Clementine beacuse so many of players love her too much that Telltale won't left her story. Or there will be 12 years timeskip and we will play as a AJ.
A DLC will solve some threads like:
What Happend to Christa?
What Happend to Arvo,Bonnie (if she alive) and Mike ?
3.And a DLC will expand all Endings:
A.What Happend to Clem and AJ after reaching the Wellington, and what happend to Kenny after Wellington.
B. What Happend if we leave Wellington with Kenny and AJ.
C.What Happend with Jane,Howe's,Family,Clem and AJ in Jane endings.
D.What happend to Clem with AJ after confronting the Herd.
I actually would like to play as an adult, people are careless about children so yeah..
Maybe it will begin in one same place that won't depend on ending which you got. In example: Clem sitting alone in the woods. That would mean that:
Clem, AJ, Jane and familty ending - Family attacked us or led somebody else to our place and raided us. Clem escaped and Jane got killed in a process
Clem AJ Jane ending - Family came back with more people to get rid of us from Howe's and Jane got killed.
Clem alone - Clementine just ended up in the woods soon after she got through a herd of walkers.
Clem AJ and Kenny together - After a few months they checked up to Wellington so see if they have some capacity to live there but they met up with bandits or walkers that killed Kenny in the process.
Clem AJ in Wellington - Wellington got raided or attacked by walkers and Clem menaged to escape. Kenny got killed by a walker while he was around Wellington.
And in all endings she would end up in the same place starting season 3. God I hope Clem will still be a main character in season 3
This sounds like the best option. 5 different beginnings then by the end of the episode, Everyone is on the same path.
If Telltale is going to continue Clementine story then this is probably the best way to do that but maybe they might came up with something different idea about how to do this, you know? We'll see.
yeah i thought about that too... it's gonna be a mess on how they will start the story plot of season 3 which is there is no canon endings(i notice)... just sayin..
Clementine being the lead character can most certainly still work. The episode can open up in 5 separate ways in a similar way to how Episode 2 of Season Two opened with having completely different openings.
And I know people hate them quite a bit (and undeservingly I think, I don't mind them) but a timeskip where we were to play as an older Clementine this time now taking care of AJ in a similar fashion to how Lee once took care of her would be a symbolic way to also remember the first season. And I think it could work really well.
then it's gonna be a longer work for them...( sorry for my english -_- )
Your English is fine. :P
But yeah, it would be. But the Season has ended and it might be another year - 2 years before we get another season so I wouldn't think it's impossible. They've finally got plenty of time now too.
It's really not that impossible for Telltale to continue to the story even with the multiple endings. It would take a bit more work, at least for the first episode or a potential dlc between season 2 and season 3, but it can definitely be done, and I very much hope that they do it.
Yeah. We can't forget that they already confirmed season 3 won't be released in 2014 so they have at least a year or even more to work on that.
What English? that's American jk lol
oh *grammar -.-
I like the ending with just you and AJ. It feels like Clem has come full circle.
