If you let the timer run out, **** lets the family in!

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

Kudos to @remorse667 for finding this.

So, if you let the timer run out when making the family decision at Howe's hardware, Jane decides that they should give the family a chance!

For me I think this represents character growth: it's a hint that Jane is going to be more trustful of others in the future and more of a team player :)

I like that Telltale put these little touches in :D

  • Does she do this every time or is it probability-based like Roman letting the Portuguese-speaking guy go? If she does this every time, then good on her. Slightly makes up for her glass-eating-levels of stupid with Kenny and the baby.

  • Wow, this makes me wish I had let the timer run out. It's nice to know Jane doesn't completely have it in her to be solitary.

Although, if you watch the ending where Jane lives, but you turn her away to be alone with AJ, Jane says something like "I can't do this alone, is that what you want to hear?"

Deep down, I think Jane knows she really does need other people. After what happened to her sister, she just wishes she didn't. It hurts her too much when she loses them.

  • Bump cause I think this is an important bit of character development!

  • Is there a video of this anywhere? My computers busted at the moment and I'd like to see it :P

  • Yeah, that was unexpected. Hopefully they don't make her regret that leap of faith, its a big step for her.

  • I can't find one, sorry :/

  • I regret saying those things about Jane, and how she was in-humane and didn't care about others.

    Her character has clearly grown.

  • Oh yes!!! I'm so glad to hear this!!! :D

  • It made me appreciate how sweet the Jane ending can be :)

  • I figured she would. I kinda figured Jane is actually a good person. She showed hints of this in the story.

  • Not just hints, she outright shows it.

I mean, returning for one thing is a good thing to do, and saving Clem from the ice is as well.

  • Nice for Jane, but I still dislike how dangerously suspicious the guy is.

  • Yeah, me too! But I think she'll keeping an eye on him :)

  • It's nice she does that but that man is too suspicious, he can't be trusted.

  • Wait, didn't I reply abut how that kids face creeps me out? Even if I didn't, It still does.

    J-just...look into his eyes!

  • Forgive me for my pessimistic tone about Jane I've developed, but isn't she not all that good since she praises Clem for turning away the family in that harsh manner?

She praises Clementine's growth and for making the decision that she couldn't as she doesn't want to turn the family away since deep down she doesn't want to be alone and really wants to hope that a group can actually work out. After all, getting in a group lead her to Clementine.

Forgive me for my pessimistic tone about Jane I've developed, but isn't she not all that good since she praises Clem for turning away the family in that harsh manner?

  • That's the image she wants to make for herself on the outside, but she shows her softer side when faced with the actual decision herself.

I know right, I'm so suspicious of that guy.He was acting really weird. The kid and the girl are cool, though.

Wish we had a chance to confront him about his gun.
