Kenny's ending was the most moving and satisfying. (to me.)

The ending with Kenny felt the closest in relation to Season 1's ending emotionally speaking. You have two of the most fan invested and developed characters in the series (Besides Lee) either saying farewell forever or starting a new life together with an unsure future. And in spite of what folks may say about Clem's safety with Kenny. I believe she might be in good hands with the man... at least she is with someone she has known for awhile and better than all those strangers at Wellington whom she wouldn't know anything about to trust and to top that off Christa wasn't even confirmed to have been there.. Ken urged for Wellington to take them in and keep them safe. Kenny obviously cares for both of them as his own children like he did for Duck and didn't want to depart from them but knew he had to for the safety of their lives. That doesn't sound like he would eventually hurt Clem or the baby.

Alternatively... at least with the both of them still with Kenny I feel Ken does have something to live for still. If he sets out alone he might very well even contemplate suicide as all his family and loved ones are completely gone,... and with A.J. and Clem locked away into Wellington's gates he would indeed have absolutely nothing left and would just feel soulless. He doesn't seem to be the loner type like Jane or Molly and is more the social family man type.

Speaking of Jane her ending felt rather oddly and strange with the backtracking and was a tad more awkward with a mysterious weirdo family at the gates of Howe's and I wouldn't have seen the point in all effort and lives sacrificed for the sake of escaping Howe's only to return a couple weeks later to live in a place with all the bad memories of the past where we might get into trouble once again somehow with this family of strangers. And with the walkers now moving quicker still and possibly overrunning the store once again eventually.. Both Wellington and Howe's look to be places that might eventually be overrun or taken over by yet another Governor/Negan/Carver- like character with an army of bandits.

Clementine being alone with the baby is still kind of better than the Jane ending but looks very very grim and uncertain as it's unclear whether Clem would be able to handle that kind of enormous responsibility by being able to protect and care for the baby alone or even herself, as we did get a glimpse at how good she was able to take care of herself in the first episode when she got attacked by that dog. Imagine if she had the baby in such a scenario similar to that. Sucks Luke had to go the way he did because I felt he should have made it to see Season 3 at least. Now with Luke gone, every single last Cabin group member died in just one season. They were all simply created.. to be killed off essentially. I just pray we get to see more of Clem in Season 3. Somehow someway even if we can't play as her at least be able to interact with her and see how our decisions have molded her into what she is to become.

  • I dig the jane ending though. First of all I felt Kenny was trainwrecking sort of on purpose and wasn't gonna change anyway in the near future and I wouldn't want to be around for all that. I mean, Clem also got a life to think about. And about Howe's chanses to be taken over by another Carver I'll just say, not if I beat him or her to it. Because seriously, the one thing I learned from this game is that if you want to do something proper you need to f*king do it yourself.

Well jokes aside, I liked Kenny, but he was out of line trying to kill Jane just cause he thought she'd let the kid die. And Jane was an ass for pulling that dum ass stunt, puttin the child at risk. And telltale was buttwerks for even writing it like that, didn't really make sense for her to backtrack to the car through the storm and the zombies just to prove a point without even knowing if kenny would show up at the reststop. But anyhooo. Yeah out of two bad choises I thought killing Kenny was the right, the man was in pain, and I set him free. And leaving Jane would just have been petty, even though I didn't like the way they put Clems word in my mouth there. It wasn't the point that Jane was right, of course Kenny would tip over if you provoked him like that. The point was for those two fheads to get along and overcome their differenses to put their abilities to some good use. From the group that was left they were the most capable ones. Bonnie for example can eat sheit, did not care for her one bit.

  • I resonate with the Luke thing. He'd have been the best.

Telltale's walking dead isn't so unless we have Clementine. They better take note of that.

  • Mmh, of course...Luke would have been my first choise too.

  • I think it's as like they said when interviewed about the making of Season One. Clementine is the heart of the game and without her everything falls apart and doesn't work. Like Rick is with the comics and TV show. (Unless Andrew Lincoln decides to quit his role or something happens to him they might have to end the entire TV series on the spot.) But with the game and comics the characters can go on and on indefinitely.

Another thread , why am I not surprised.

  • Like Jane says, everyone's luck runs out eventually..

..CAn't Clemetine's luck be forever? She needs to be there for this game to be the punch it is!

  • I can already imagine how Lee raises from the dead and appears right in front of Jane/Kenny and Clementine.

Clementine: L-Lee.... Is it really you? Are you alive?

Lee: OMG YOU ENDED UP WITH THIS MAN/WOMAN????!!! HOW FUCKING DARE YOU CLEMENTINE!!!!

  • Clem will die eventually and we will cry soooo much.. Hopefully it's in season 10 or something.

  • Kennys wellington ending is the best by far and I didn't even get it. They should of put more into the other endings.

  • I don't know if they will make that many seasons. I know the TV series has implied that they will be able to get to their 10th season eventually with some luck. But the game series I don't know if Melissa Hutchison will still want to portray Clementine for that long and I doubt the games will last as long as the TV show. As I doubt voice actors get paid as much as actual actors. But the main thing I really want to see in this game series the absolute most is the adult version of Clementine in this game. She might not reach Lily, Carley or Jane's age as I'm sure life expectancy in the apocalypse is reduced severely, hopefully she will make it to her teenage years like 15 or 16.. Sarah's age at the least.

    Season 10 sounds good!

  • It's not really a matter of taste.

The writers were deliberately pushing you, tempting you, or trying to trick you into shooting Kenny. If you do they've succeeded in making you fail to get the best ending. Resisting them means you pass the test.

Yes, yes, they'll say "well it's not really the case that..." but they're just being nice. They let it slip in their IGN interview that they were trying to push people to a place where they'd shoot Kenny. The reward for people who keep the faith and stay LOYAL is the best ending.

  • I agree with you on all this.

We just kinda have to look at what Sarita said about him the first time we met her. Kenny had basically given up when she met him. But having someone with him again gave him purpose. I really think leaving to get into Wellington and leaving Kenny behind was a death sentence. IMO he was just gonna go off and waste away if not flat out kill himself.

And I simply couldn't let that happen. :(

But to me, the best ending would've been a Luke ending... I am still loving Luke way more than Kenny, but seriously... Why Luke ?! Why did you have to die?! >:

  • What gives a person the right to "set someone free"? He isn't a dog that needs to be put down when you think he's feeling pain.

I think Kenny is in peace once he gets AJ and Clem to Wellington. He finally brings the people he cares about to safety and can die happy. If you kill him, he is left with the knowledge that he failed AJ and that Clem must continue sleeping with a gun next to her.

  • It is just well-placed human kindness.

  • Not exactly, Robert Kirkman has said time and time again that even Rick can die and the comic will still continue.

The 5 different ending scenarios imply that Clem's story has come to an end, for now. Considering how much the choices have mattered so far, no way in hell will Telltale be able to work with 5 branching storylines.

I disagree with him feeling souless if Clem and AJ stayed at Wellington. In fact, I think he'd feel the opposite of that. I think he'd feel he accomplished his purpose.

He'd finally find peace. If he died the next day, I know that he'd die a happy man knowing that the kids are finally safe.

There are things in this world I'll never understand...

Any ways, after discovering Luke died no matter what you did, I didn't break the ice just so Bonnie (aka bitch-traitor-in-love-with-Arvo #2) would die.

  • I'd love to see an 80 year old Clementine beating down walkers with her Zimmer frame.

Seriously, YES, late teens Clem would be a good thing. I want her as long as she can be innocent, I don't want her to get romantically involved with anyone, the concept is too weird for me as I always see the 8 year old we first met.
