Who You Prefer As A Mentor For Your Clem?
Lee except of course, that is the one and only true Clem mentor...
I personally choose Jane, cause she can teach her a lot about how to survive: She can teach her how to fight, how to find food, how to follow tracks, using all available resources.
Jane can also teach her how to "Do not trust the people," what I think is very important in the world of The Walking Dead. As Clem can teach Jane How to "Trust People". XD
Then together they remind me a lot Lee and Clementine, Although they are more like elder sister and younger sister
And You? Who You like as Mentor for YOUR Clem?

Luke, Luke and Luke.
Jane or Molly (both are very similar)
No one. Clem has mastered survival at this point, and in my playthrough she's AJ's mentor. :P
Lee was her mentor and he will always be her best mentor.
Christa was being pretty bitchy.....all the best mentors are dead at the moment...if i had to pick, it would be Kenny
Lee obviously, but he is gone.
for people who still alive: Jane
for deceased of course is Lee
Uncle Pete would be a great mentor... May he rest in peace.
Feels
Jane. She's smart, cool-headed, an adept survivor, and she wasn't coming apart at the seams.
Luke was too emotional. "You don't kill dogs." Seriously, man?
Kenny had descended too far into his emotional trauma.
Lee was a great mentor but I don't think he had much more to teach. She learned everything she possibly could from him.
No one. Clem is going to be AJ's mentor.
I went with Jane because I saw what they both offered each other as opposed to Kenny, in regards to mentoring it's the same, Kenny won't teach Clem anything she'll just be his 'daughter' and with Jane she'll actually have both a strong character who'd look out for them no matter what and a sister. There's a victory in that in my opinion.
Weirdly I pick Pete he was like a good mix of Luke and Kenny
Amen to that.
no question. obviously jane.
she taught clem literal in ten minutes more then lee the entire time they spent together.
finally, someone who is alone with the baby too
Nobody. Nobody needs to mentor her anymore. She's safe now. In Wellington, she's safe from everything.
since when did Jane become an expert tracker/hunter, sure she taught clementine the knee trick and that looting fresh dead bodies gets good loot, but when did she show that she could track and find food?
Clementine is the best mentor for Clementine.
But besides that I think Pete and Luke would be good influences.
What? Lee taught Clem how to shoot and based on your choices can be a good role model or make her strong for the cruel apocalyptic world. Lee also taught her how to go through hordes by covering herself in walker guts as well as taking out walkers. And based on your choice he can prepare Clementine to be able to shoot the ones she cares for if they turn. Lee practically taught Clementine everything on how to survive. So putting Jane above Lee is a bit odd.
It was Chuck that got him to teach her how to shoot. She learned most of her outdoor skills from Christa and Omid. Lee taught her a lot but Lee was not God. He never had to survive on his own for more than a day.
Arvo of course, he's the Bear Grylls of the apocalypse. Never held back by grief or racism.
It's The Walking Dead - nobody is safe anywhere.
Besides Lee, Kenny.
Christa.
I view Clem more of a mentor for Jane than the other way round.
what a surprise
Let's be honest, Arvo is essentially Jesus.
Yeah, but don't forget that he is also Gandhi, Superman, Dovahkiin, Albert Einstein, Joseph Stalin, and every pope clumped together to be the best role model ever. Arvo is love, Arvo is life.
Chuck suggested that Lee ought to but it was Lee who did the tutoring. Well I'm not saying Lee is God maybe Christa ended up teaching her more. But to say Jane taught Clem more than Lee is a bit of an overstatement. Without meeting Lee I doubt Clementine would be as strong as she is today. Even thought she always was strong but without Lee it wouldn't be the same.
I remember Lee keeping her safe and influencing her personality but when it came down to skills he didn't teach her about surviving until prompted by Chuck. Lee himself stumbled through much of the season. Even Christa had to chastise him for nearly getting Clementine killed at the train station because he never learned the importance of an exit strategy until they nearly died.
Kenny and Christa
Lee struggled between the decision to preserve Clementine's innocence and preparing her for the post apocalyptic world. Chuck helped Lee realize that it wasn't a decision to ponder on but it was necessary to prepare Clementine so she could survive. It was still Lee's decision to prepare her because Chuck wasn't the kind of man to force it upon him but just helped him realize it. Now I don't think Lee's contribution should be exaggerated but it shouldn't be undermined either.
And as for Jane I think Clementine was a more a of a mentor in terms of teaching her to trust people again rather than vice versa. Jane taught her the knee trick and about looting corpses but Clementine taught her how to start trusting people again. And even though Clementine's action varies on the player's choices her core view on post apocalyptic society was molded by her experiences with Lee and Lee's efforts to grasp onto humanity. And in spite of the choices you make Clementine still remains humane and takes care of the baby despite the risks. And I believe she understood the importance of it when Lee was taking care of her and risked his life to save her.
let us just have a look at jane's 10 minute lesson.
in the first moment you and jane are alone she immediately stats to teach you how to survive. lee has spent an eternity with clementine and never once thought about preparing her for the worst. some random guy hat to tell him to finally get it.
jane's ingenious protective clothes idea never even crossed my mind and certainly not lee's.
lee seems allmost to ask for beeing bitten, while jane makes sure the zombis stay down.
lee ignores permanently possible weapons. the pitchfork? the gun of the cannibal? he even says something like "a shovel is never not useful" right before putting it away and ignoring it from this moment forward.
jane actually searches for tools that could be useful for survival. while lee just throws away his weapon because he is to lazy to get something else to hold the door open or just leave clementine at the perfect place to escape.
jane came up with the haircut idea herself.
jane gets not one but two pieces of essential survival equipment out of a fucking nail file.
with his superior mind lee had the brilliant idea to use coins as a screwdriver.
jane immediately points out the fatal flaw of clementines choice of weapon and offers her her own weapon.
i doubt lee would have noticed that.
she teaches her a neat trick that compensate somewhat for her size.
has lee learned anything while fighting all this walkers?
but worst of all:
while lee goes with clementine on a search for the parents he knows are dead and never thought about preparing her slowly for the truth when just mentioning his fathers bite would have been enough.
jane confronts clementine with reality.
she tells her finding her friends is a shot in the dark,
she warns about the group falling apart,
rebecca's baby,
teaches her that some people just can not be saved.
and she prepares her for the worst by letting her kill nick in a save environment,
while lee forces clem to jump in the cold water.
my lee's last words where pretty much "trust no one."
at least he gave some good advice.
Luke
But we all know how that went.
I feel like Luke would have been best. He was obviously a good survivor, and he managed to keep his humanity as well. Not many can do that.
Luke and Pete.
But they're both dead so hooray.
Do you always have to be snarky to every Kenny fan you find that just shared his opinion? Just curious.
Luke 100%
;__;
