Serious problems with running game

I've downloaded and installed MI and trying to play it is a complete nightmare. I've played other games on this computer no problems with graphics/sound nothing yet with MI its taking about ten minutes to load, mouse movements are jerky as anything on menu, setting the quality to 1 helps on the menu but actual gameplay is still way too jerky (like 1 screen a second) and anytime I try changing resolution or full screen mode the game crashes. Its completely unplayable.

Any help anyone? And talk to me as if I'm about 9 years old, I think thats where my knowledge level is ;)

    Sorry, I can't help but I'm having the same exact problem. It's unplayable.

    Well, maybe I thought it was. It was so annoying with the glitchiness but I played it with some patience and it rocked.
