The real question is what doesn't happen there. Fans fighting over opinions to the point where death threats are sent, fans creating threads with the same controversial topic that has been discussed countless times and always leads in an argument, and all other crap. I love Mass Effect too, even dragon age. But those forums are just crazy. I haven't been on the forums in a while so maybe things settled down.
Well, Lilly and Luke fans don't really go anywhere, they just cry for some time in fetal position and then continue to play like all the rest. And I personally liked Jane from the beginning, because she reminded me of Molly (damn I wish Molly had stayed...). Furthermore, it's probably a bit more complicated than just categorizing people either in one fan club or the other. I identified with neither (or both), until I had to make THAT tough decision, where I chose Jane. And still, it doesn't mean I like everything Jane did or that I hate Kenny. That's probably when you get the most emotion out of this game : when you like both characters, but you have to shoot one or watch the other die...
Perhaps it was a hyperbole to call it a bandwagon, but I'm curious what becomes of the Luke fans once he dies, and where all these Jane fans came from so suddenly.
