(sorry this post is a bit scattered thoughts)
How would it be if it was actually Luke vs Kenny?
Straight to the point? I want a DLC with a Luke ending...just to see how it would have been.
Yeah yeah, it sounds stupid....PAY MONEY TO HAVE YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER ALIVE/TO SHOOT THAT HANKY PANKY LONG HAIR DUDE.
I know that Walking Dead is meant to be with the feeling of destiny...you cant change what ever is written for you, and having such kind of DLC totally breaks that.
Its just when I think about it, I cant help but feel that "No Going Back" was always meant to be a stand off between Luke and Kenny instead of Jane and Kenny. This was always meant to be, from episode 2 you know...the table scene, heading off sooner or later after Rebecca's birth, Bonnie's question of Alpha male, the last choice is called "Friendship"
Everything was leading to that one crucial moment. Heck, ...maybe the ending was meant to be like go with Luke, go with Kenny, or follow Jane's advice.
Luke is hot not gonna lie, but Its not the reason I want him alive, because you know what?
I am glad they killed off Luke the way they did.
The writing of Luke's reaction on Nick's death was just horrible, it didn't make any sense and it seems like a flaw in writing. I know I am not a writer, and I am a fan girl of Luke. But if I lost a childhood friend I would have grief just a tiny bit...A TINY BIT!
I guess they couldn't fit him into the last scene. Sadly Luke didn't have the closure to Clem than Jane managed to have in one episode....that is the sad truth.
I mean, how would they have initiated the fighting? Same way as they did with Jane ? ew no! that would be like a ultimate butchering to the character. I am glad it was that his death came over before that..It was more honorable.
But still, I wanna know how telltale originally envisioned it to be..heck throw in the ending with Bonnie and Mike.
What do you guys think? how would things have been if it was Luke vs Kenny?Do you guys want a DLC? No? okay..

We won't get a DLC on that but his death hit me really hard. I wish we had a chance to save and end up with him in the end.
I know I know...but Its just, I wonder how the ending would have been if it was Luke instead of Jane...utterly butcherment of the character? or a partnership figure? seems telltale couldn't make team Luke successfully like team Kenny so they cut him off.
Unless you count all the fangirls, but that is only because he is a
ahem
CASSANOVAAA~~
I'd say yes to a patch or DLC like that. It worked with a certain other game getting an extended ending, sorry for bringing that horrible argument back up :P I know this isn't even close to a similar situation and I love Ep5 but I would totally pay money for this, even if it only brings back his determinantness. It won't happen but eh if only though
I didn't like Luke's death, however being able to shoot Kenny made my game.
Clem and Luke had much more connection than anybody else in my gameplay.
thats right, this sort of DLC I would love to pay for.
......withing a reasonable price XD
I think Nick Breckon redeemed Luke in E5 after Luke started grieving that everyone in the cabin group is gone.
"I'd come back for you." ~ Clemy
really? for me their interaction was amazing at the bridge! but after that I just didn't see anything
I did gave him a hug, and clicked "I would come back for you"...without a thought...
Heh, me too. :X
true...that was like woah Luke
The thing is Jane is the only one that was cold and calculating enough to attempt to manipulate Kenny. Luke and Kenny had the standard follower/leader arc. I don't see them fighting to the death over anything and I don't see Luke pushing buttons. Luke didn't have the callous background that Jane did. There might have been a tussle but no one is dying.
Actually, people tend to overlook how big of a fanbase he had. There was a lot of anger directed towards him after episode four but before that, the forums were pretty much 50-50 on who they wanted to be with at the end. During a recent Playing Dead interview, Telltale said that they killed him off specifically because people expected and wanted him to be the one at the end with her. They wanted to catch people off guard by his sudden death.
Trust me, lots of people liked him. Even more so when he and Kenny weren't bickering all the time. Check all the LPs on Youtube. The comments are filled with people wanting him to come back or begging the players to see if there is a way to save him.
I think that's why they scrapped the plan...I could see Kenny getting really mad at Luke...but over what?
thats why sometimes i feel relived that Luke died in a honorable way (if you choose to help him), cause I feel like they might have butchered the character if they had Luke vs Kenny instead of Jane vs Kenny.
oh god those feels....think Clemy had a crush?
NOO CLUKE NO CLUKE!
I think they failed that miserably though...when it happened I was like awwwwhhhhhh there he goes...
...its weird, for me I actually didn't cry any of their death...was just too focused on the situation..think that's why the characters don't grieve? Its like I am desensitized.

PIzza with Apple juice? thanks! XD
I usually supported him and liked him, and didn't give a crap about Kenny.
Yet TTG forced me to cry over Kenny (if he dies or leave you at Wellington) and give only two fucks when Luke dies at the lake, it's just horrible. I felt so bad when he died that I killed Kenny without second thoughts.
I'd be ridiculously onboard with a Luke DLC, it's just such a shame that it wouldn't happen. Luke was such a vital character this season, and it's very devastating that there wasn't an option to take him to the end with us.
Well I did. So I guess it was just the me in her talking :P
