I'm glad, even though I shot him, I still wish him the best. I started this thread to help me decide if I should change my ending or not, Kenny will most likely survive next time I play

  • I was definitely content with my ending. After all that we had been through, I was not willing to give up on Kenny, and I wasn't willing to let him go off into the sunset without me. For once, I was smiling at the credits, and not crying.

  • Lmao, it's true though

Bonnie got Luke killed by getting her ** fatass** over to his weak ice area Holy shit, LMAO

  • I feel like that ending leaves more open ends like, *where is Kenny going to go? Will he be alright? Is Wellington just another Crawford waiting to happen? * But I understand what you mean.

I thought the best ending was when Clem and Kenny went their separate ways at Wellington. Not only was really emotional and brought closure

  • I picked the ending kenny and clementine leaving wellington i couldnt kill kenny it didnt make sense too the guy is a badass a good survivor and actually cares about the welfare of group. jane seems to be confused and she might be a sociopath the whole baby situation was just strange why would she lie i never liked her to begin with

  • Yeah? Wonder where I got that from?

**The happiest ending:* *Refusing Wellington and leaving with Kenny. Undisputable

The worse ending: Accepting Wellington, without Kenny. I almost cried when I saw how all that Kenny wanted was the best for Clem and AJ, even if he will be alone ....

The worst scene : Shooting Kenny and listening to his last words./ Drowning Luke.

  • Leaving without him did make me cry! Just seeing the gates shut on him as he walks into the unknown is so sad. Listening to his last words was sad but reassuring, and makes me even more mad at Jane because he was so tame, the only reason he was crazy was cause he thought she lost his replacement Duck. :(

  • Yes, you're absolutely right. He was a good man, and you can't say it was crazy, because he wasn't . He was just very over protective, and a little ...brain damage because of his son's death.

  • No, I'm not content with anything. Fuck Jane, fuck Kenny, I want Luke back :'(

  • I don't dislike it, after Jane lied I just wanted to give up on groups, might be best for what my Clemmy had to go through. Plus, I might change it if I ever play it again.

Absolutely. For me, the ending with Kenny is the most fulfilling and rewarding one. I actually started this episode with every intention of making Clementine a hardened survivor at the end, but after those last final scenes with Kenny.....racing you to the top of the hill, and doing whatever was best for Clem and AJ without a second thought, while at the same time admitting his mistakes and faults sealed it for me.

At first I wanted Clem to go to Wellington alone...I just couldn't do it. The first time I was genuinely very sad playing this game, but when I saw Kenny,Clem and AJ walking away together, I also cracked a smile.

  • I was still upset that EVERYONE ELSE WAS DEAD. ;__;

  • I see a lot of users, especially on this thread, saying that even if they initially chose to shoot Kenny, they would go back later and "realize" that the Kenny endings are 'the best endings". I do not hold this view.

First of all, I'd like to point out that I do think the Kenny endings are much more heartwarming, whether you choose to leave Wellington with him, or you stay and he walks away. They really are, but in no way do I think they are the 'better' endings or the 'right' endings.

I try to imagine myself as Clementine in the split second where we get the choice of [Shoot Kenny] or [Look Away]. In that moment, I see Kenny on top of Jane, pushing a knife into her chest. I think about what has happened, simplifying, Jane arrived without the baby, Kenny is enraged because she lost the baby. Jane never explicitly states the baby is dead, but of course it being dead is to be inferred. No part of me thought that Jane would intentionally get the baby killed, even if she thought it only served as "dead weight". Before things got out of hand, Jane sheathes her knife, an act that, to me, signified her desire to end the fight. Over the course of the scene leading to the brawl, Jane did nothing that appeared antagonistic or a threat to anyone's life, in fact, when Jane puts her knife away as I mentioned earlier, Kenny attacks her. Based on what I saw, Kenny had no reason to do what he did, his actions were based on his attachment to AJ and his already existent feelings toward Jane.

Kenny was going to murder Jane, that sums up exactly what was happening in that moment. I couldn't let that happen, I couldn't "look away" while Kenny plunged a knife into a helpless woman's chest. If I were faced with this exact same situation in the real world, regardless of context, the person in Kenny's place would always be the wrongdoer, at least in my personal opinion. Once you have someone in that kind of defenseless position, killing them is unnecessary. Kenny could just as easily have said, "Let's go, Clementine. Jane isn't coming with us anymore." Or something similar. The only reason he did not was because he was losing his mind, and he was becoming unstable, despite what many may think or what the 'Wellington ending' may make you think. Hell, the man himself tells Clementine that he is dangerous, and that stopping him was the right choice.

Now, I am not trying to force the 'Jane ending' upon you, nor am I saying that shooting Kenny was the correct choice, I do not believe there are 'right' choices in The Walking Dead. I'd also like to add that I don't consider myself a 'Kenny Apologist' or a 'Jane Apologist', but an 'Ending Rationalist'.

To conclude, yes, I was content with my ending, and you should be content with your ending. But I do hope people take something from this post, and hopefully will stop making stupid comments trying to 'defend' their choice.

  • That scene with them racing is pretty cute :)

  • I'm glad you added, **"There are no right choices" ** because that's exactly it, there isn't, it's based on your own opinion and moral. However I do believe in going back to make different choices, I mean you bought the game, might as well mix it up a few times. And I am content with my ending, I was just uneasy at first. Mostly because my heart wanted Kenny alive but my brain wanted to help Jane. Over all, I am genuinely happy with my ending (choose to be alone) because, in a way, everyone got what they wanted.

    double post..

  • I liked the idea of the alone ending, but it felt a little empty compared to all of the other endings. It would have been cool if in the alone ending you come across another group and you have the option to join them or walk away. Make it on par with the other endings.

  • ending up with Jane?Yeah.

    I Regret nothing.

  • Yep i got to stay with kenny

  • I shot Kenny and stayed with Jane. It was sad but I like that I was able to comfort him by telling him he'd see his wife and son again. I forgave Jane for what she did. I felt that she cared for Clem, felt that Kenny was unstable and was looking out for Clem. We went back to Carver's base where there was food, baby formula and a green house to grow food. I was happy with my choices. I chose to let a family of 3 move in and join us. It's what I thought Lee would have done. There's a kid for Clem to bond with, a nice woman who could play a mothering role and the man seems capable to help out against walkers or other hostiles. Although I'll try the other scenarios I think my first choice is the one I would have preferred for Clem. She has a warm sheltered, secured base with means to grow food and spot intruders from distance. A gated community, kind of like what Rick has in Alexandria in the comics.

Yep i got to stay with kenny

  • I kind of wish she ended up with the 400 days people that didn't go to Carver's camp, would of connected the stories a little better and at least we'd have an idea of who they are. But then again, it could be bad. I don't know, just an idea.

  • I'm pretty jealous of the sunset ending with Kenny and wish I could go back but I'm pretty content with my ending. I don't forgive Jane's actions but leaving her is not in the best interests of AJ and Clem and I don't believe she is an entirely malicious person. We're going to make a go of it with the family.

I'm just sad that the final link to Clem's original group has been severed. I hope to god I find Christa.
