I had no idea Bonnie was... *spoilers*
... such an arsehole.
This is the lady that looked out for Clem in ep3, gave her the 'cool jacket' and kept the group going with light-hearted comments and care. I thought it was bad enough that she and Mike try to steal all the supplies and go, leaving Clementine and baby Alvin without anything to survive.
I just played through ep5 with different choices, and one of them was covering Luke on the ice, instead of going over to help. When you get back to the house, and Clem is still potentially hypothermic, Bonnie becomes yet another person to blame Clem for someone's death (what is this, the fifteenth time?). It would've been tolerable if that was it, but if you talk to her later, she starts laying into Clem about letting him die, and how life is all sunshine and rainbows if you're a 'pretty girl' and various crap. Then, to top it off, when Clementine gets shot, Bonnie dismissively says "just leave her" to Mike.
Wow. That's a complete 180, simply because, what? Luke moved on to Jane after her? Maybe instead of pretending everything was peachy she should have addressed that with him, instead of being a complete and utter arse to Clem. It's also pretty hypocritical considering everything that was implied between her and Leland in 400 days, right in front of his wife. I think you can even rub it in Dee's face. Seriously, no character's ugly side has surprised me as much as Bonnie's.

Ugh her and that jacket, we get it Bonnie you gave us a jacket now shut up about it
Hey... hey I gave you a jacket, plz forgive me 4 everything.
Hey... hey I gave you a jacket, plz forgive me 4 everything.
I never liked nor trusted Bonnie.
I'm glad I told her it's ugly xD
Clem plz
She was such a hypocrite, acting like she's always there for others. Why the hell would Kenny care about Mike and Bonnie while theres a little girl on the ground dying? You'd think they'd help her regardless.
I really liked and trusted her XD Guess I've learnt my lesson for season 3.
I... kind of understand why they left her. I mean, Jane and Kenny would've killed both of them if they hadn't.
Yeah, I know but I mean, they'd set aside whatever the issue is and help Clem. Kenny and Jane wouldn't have time to kill Mike and Bonnie, the least the two could do is help
I never trusted Bonnie but her story arc was really good. I loved how when she leaves with Mike and Arvo it is almost how 400 days ends with Bonnie saying "i'm sorry I didn't mean for this to happen." Now we know how Dee felt.
She wanted us to trust her and she said she would make it up to us. Then she does this!? My Bonnie died and I'm glad after hearing what she would do alive.
Bonnie liked the jacket more than she liked Clementine. I'm surprised she didn't tug it off Clem's bleeding body before she ran off.
How would she die?
You don't finish breaking the ice. I stopped because Luke was dying and I thought what would be the point.
ROFL
Good to know.
i liked her, but i sure didn't trust her. every time i could remind her of what she did at the lodge i took it, as long as it didn't blame her. she took stuff and brought death unto us, twice. the russian got a bunch of guys to try and gun us down over a gun he pulled on us (i gave the supplies back). mike was the only coming out of left field imo, though he was a bit soft for kenny's dark side, so maybe it isn't too unexpected.
bonnie being a dick over getting luke killed is a defense mechanism. luke felt that he might be able to get himself out, and that it wasn't worth the risk of even clem trying to save him, either due to the danger to clem and/or the danger to himself. i followed luke's judgement, bonnie didn't. bonnie helping luke was clearly a bad idea, clem helping luke was questionable either way. at some level i am sure bonnie knew she killed luke, and rather than face that she clung to her one out (the belief that it was clem's fault). everyone deals with loss their own way, that was hers.
i can forgive her being a dick. now given that kenny pretty much stated that they could leave, but that they wouldn't get the truck means that there was no reason other than to steal the truck (and all the supplies) for sneaking off in the middle of the night. that means that twice she was given a share of the stuff and chose to turn on those that got her the supplies, and didn't even acknowledge it was wrong (at least not until well after the fact).
kenny was close to the edge, and needed time to recover from sarita's death. suffering another loss (like clem or AJ) definitely would have sent him over. with clem dying he might just kill the both of them not realizing he might be able to save clem.
i hope they show up in the third season, so i can shoot the russian and possibly bonnie. twice that guy has pulled a gun on me, and the first time he got it taken away so he got some thugs to try and kill everyone. sure there's some grief the second time, but the first had no excuse (i still gave him a second chance though).
ya, the writers really did a good job with her.
All i can say is she should hope to never cross paths with my Clem again.
I wish we had the option to yell at Bonnie and tell her that Luke dying was her own fault. If she hadn't gone out onto the ice and just fucked off he probably could have pulled himself out.
I never liked Luke all that much and of course his death episode has to be the one where every other character fucks up to the point of where I was wishing he was back.
