Idea: Iron Armor and Face Shield
No one in the universe has ever thought of TWD, but I think it would be the smart thing and that there may be protective. An iron armor like knights, Walkers can never bit you, and you can easily go through a horde without problems, a bit like Glenn in TV Show...
It would be something like this:

good idea, i'll just pop down to my local lightweight titanium armour store and get a few of them, just in case of the apocalypse :P
In the comics, which is in the same universe as the game, they did something similar with riot gear.
It seems like a good idea at first, but it really isn't at all.
First off, you won't encounter that many walkers that it's worth it, and walking through a horde with that thing is a death sentence.
I'll come to that.
So, it's extremly heavy, you can't even imagine how heavy it is (I never wore one, but I can imagine). You'll be out of breath after two minutes maximum. Also, if you have to pee, you'll have to get out of the damn thing, and then back in. I would imagine that progress takes half an hour with a dozen slaves (as in the middle ages I mean) and is completely impossible on your own.
When the sun shines, you are cooked alive in the thing.
And most of all, if you fall over and noone is nearby, you're fucked. You won't be able to get up yourself. Now imagine you walk in a goddamn herd with that thing. The walkers will immideatly be all over your ass, trying to get ahold of you and to bite you. I'll give you 4 seconds until you fall down, and another minute until the sheer mass of them squeezes you to death or one accidently opens your helmet and eats your face.
