  • Luke, because it was so sudden, he just... vanished ;_;

  • I wouldn't kill Kenny over Luke, he's like her dad.

    Season 1 Lee Season 2 Luke. Wanted to kill off Kenny and would have if Luke had lived . Did't want MyClementine to lose everyone.

    I would say Lee's for S1, and Kenny/Luke's in S2. However, the thing that got me crying wasn't Kenny's death, but he and Clem's optional departure from each other at Wellington. :(

    That was just awful. If I had been realistically in that situation, I honestly don't know if I would have even been able to finish him off. I know that sounds horrible, but it would have been hard to do, even though I wouldn't want him to suffer.

    Honestly.....Sam the dog. When he died I cried my eyes out. I'm a animal lover so it kills me when I see one suffering. Fake or not.

    Since we're talking about deaths, it has to be Lee for me.

    While it wasn't a death, saying goodbye to Kenny when deciding to stay at Wellington was just brutal. My Clem and Kenny have always been there for one another, just like my Lee and Kenny were. It was sad to grant him this final wish.. and finally leave him. Lee would be proud.

    Unfortunately I can't find a video that doesn't have Clem cut him off, but oh well.

  • Lee for Seaspn 1 and Kenny for Season 2. I cried so hard ;-;

  • I chose Lee because of obvious reasons but I would've chosen Kenny put in my Playthrough he's still alive so im not counting Kenny out just yet!

  • Would liked to have had them both while walking away from Wellington.

    S1: Lee (hard to beat)

    S2: Kenny. I was suprised how much i liked him even when he talks i hated him since the first season. Normaly i would say Luke but his fast death with the danger dont let me think long about his death. With Kenny it was clear i would choose Jane so it had a better build up.

  • S1: Duck

    S2: Luke, even though I got more sad about Kenny's, Luke's has impacted me so hard.

  • How come there's no Jane option?

  • sam because i LOVE dogs

  • 100% agree. ;;;;;____;;;;;;

    Luke... I really started crying and am still extremly sad (kind of depressed) everytime I think about him. :( Can't believe I could feel like this playing a game. People around me must think I lost my mind.

    Well and Lee of course. I can cry everytime I play season 1 though I know it's going to happen.

  • Yep, totally agree. For some reason, the circumstances of that death and the way they build up to it made the scene VERY difficult for me.

    Sarah's death at the observation deck felt extremely callous and lazy on part of the writers, and I personally cared much for her than any other character who died in this Season. Losing her felt nearly as bad as the loss of Lee, even if Lee's death was the best-executed send off in the entire series.

    In terms of best executed death? Luke. The man redeemed himself, and his last moments were truly heroic and tragic. Much more so than Kenny's about-face, which felt like a less effective imitation of Lee's death.

  • I actually feel like the death is better executed if he doesn't save Clem from the zombie. Seeing his corpse in the water like that was heartbreaking.

  • Jane. I didn't kill Kenny, so I wasn't effected by that. I was really upset when she died. I didn't see her on the poll, so I didn't vote.

  • Season 1: Lee. Cause Kenny wasn't dead. HE LIVED.

    Season 2: Kenny's determinant death. That fucking killed me. Tears were shed. Weeps and sobs escaped my mouth and I covered my face with my arm as I cried.

    Just glad I didn't go through with that in my canon...

  • Shooting Kenny for me. I was seriously fighting back tears.

    Season 1: Lee, no contest.

    Season 2: Luke's was by far the nastiest and left me feeling detached afterwards. BUT, Kenny's was the saddest one for me and is probably up there with Lee's death.

    EDIT: Just to point out, that I didn't kill Kenny in MY play through, but when I watched someone else that shot Kenny, then the tears came.

  • Luke, in both seasons.

  • Omid. I spent the entire gap between seasons hoping the two in the distance at the end of S1 were Omid and Christa. We all know how that turned out.

  • i crieds :'(

  • Neither, they are all kinda corny, Lee not that much but still. However if Clem dies that would be fucked up.

    I rewinded just to try to save him, however TTG wouldn't give me that happiness.

  • Your comment just mind-f***** me...

    Luke, in both seasons.

  • Correction: the fact of Luke dying and Kenny surviving turned everything to shit.
    If it were the other way around (Luke surviving and Kenny drowning in the fucking lake) it'd have been so much better for everyone

    Luke...I had a good episode preparing for Lee's death, I knew he was going to die. With Luke it happened too fast! I was expecting a Luke vs Kenny thing at the end or something like that where you know Luke might die before hand. I've seen video of the death where he floats lifelessly in the water, but I chose to help him because I panicked and didn't believe him when he said he got it because that's what I would do when I needed help. He always says that, but he's not okay! Watching him be dragged down by the walker he saved Clem from was just so heartbreaking. I don't show many emotion, but that is the only death that almost made me cry when it happened. I just wanted Luke the rest of the episode because everything just went to shit after he died.
    Honestly the second hardest was actually Sarah because her personality mirrored that of my best friend in real life who happens to share a name so it kind of just made me think that if this were to ever happen no matter what I couldn't save my best friend if her safety net breaks.

  • In season 2 it was Luke, in season 1 it was Larry.
    if you consider both seasons, the death that hit me the hardest was Luke's.

  • Oh!

    I thought you meant Luke died in Season 1 as well, sorry!

    In season 2 it was Luke, in season 1 it was Larry. if you consider both seasons, the death that hit me the hardest was Luke's.

  • Corny? Really? I can understand Omid, Kenny, and Lee's deaths could be viewed as "corny" in some contexts, but Larry? Andy St. John? Luke? Carlos? You're telling me that literally every death in the series is corny?

    Neither, they are all kinda corny, Lee not that much but still. However if Clem dies that would be fucked up.

  • Luke... I never saw it coming.

    Even did a replay just to see him get dragged down to the bottom by a walker. God Damn, I saw Lee's death coming. But not Luke

    Telltale was like "Happy Belated Birthday, Luke!"

  • edited August 2014

    There's a misunderstanding here. The question is about which death hit you the hardest, so by what I understood of that question, they are all to me, as characters, kinda corny, therefore their deaths, regardless how they died, didn't affect me at all or “hit me”. I know the poster of this question takes into consideration the way the characters died, but to me is not that relevant how they died, as in if they died of a gunshot or knifed in the heart. Now about the way the characters died.... they are not all corny, there is some pretty sick shit in the walking dead games.

  • Also, did you help or cover Luke?

    I honestly did not know what to do at first. I covered Luke because he seemed pretty confident in what he was saying.

  • I think it's kind of an insult to the writers at Telltale to say that they've failed to write a single character that isn't corny.
